Standing 51 stories tall in a neighborhood full of skyscrapers, the hotel is similar to many other nearby buildings, but it’s the shape that makes it stand out. The hotel is housed in two pencil-thin glass-and-metal buildings situated along Dubai’s busiest road. One of the structures houses rooms and suites, and the other one, extended stay apartments. Even though the Nassima Royal Hotel caters to all types of guests, the property is popular among business travelers due to its myriad business-friendly amenities and central location across the road from the Dubai Convention Center. The lobby is a stylish, modern space with brown and white gleaming floors, large windows, and a couple of sitting areas with chic decor in white and different shades of red. Rooms, however, can feel a little generic, particularly standard units and Royal Club rooms. They feature great high-tech amenities, but unlike suites these units have few unique details.

The hotel is located on Sheikh Zayed, Dubai’s busiest and most famous road. This block is lined with striking skyscrapers housing corporate offices and other high-end hotels, but there aren’t many tourist attractions within walking distance. This locale is particularly convenient for business travelers, as it is within walking distance of the financial areas of Dubai, and across the road from the Dubai Convention Center. However, there are two metro station a few blocks away, which makes moving around town easy, cheap and fast. The airport is just a few miles away -- but note that there can be heavy traffic during rush hour.

The hotel features a wide range of room types, from standard guest rooms to two-bedroom suites complete with full kitchens. Rooms are all spacious and upscale, with high-tech amenities such as LCD TVs, free Wi-Fi, and motorized blinds. Earth tones, wooden wall paneling, and clean lines make for overall contemporary, stylish decor -- but some may find standard rooms to be a little too generic. Suites, however, are somewhat chicer, with a few more inspired details, such as angular lampshades, contemporary artworks, and mood lighting. Standard amenities include minibars, iPod docks, coffeemakers (espresso machines in suites), and standalone tubs with striking views. Most rooms have huge windows offering jaw-dropping Arabian Sea or city views. The hotel offers a few Family Rooms, which are two connecting standard rooms. Royal Club Rooms offer access to a private lounge complete with Internet access and extras such as drinks and butler service. Cots and accessible rooms are available upon request.
