Albergo Firenze is a basic three-pearl hotel located in the heart of central Florence. The entrance is tucked into a corner on a stone street and marked with charming lanterns. Inside, a tiny lobby area has a seating area with worn, basic blue fabric chairs and pale yellow stools. Behind the curved front desk is a wooden cabinet full of cubbies to hold the room keys of guests when they step out of the hotel. Hallways are plain and a bit dated with white and olive green walls. Guests returning later in the evening can be noisy at times. Breakfast is served in a spacious, simple room with a large fresco of the city, while fresh flowers make nice centerpieces on the white tables. This mid-range property offers a clean and basic place to stay, though some guests have complained about street noise. 

Albergo Firenze has an excellent location through a stone archway just off the Via del Corso in central Florence in Piazza Donati. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby, and it's within a five-minute walk to several of the city's top attractions including the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (Duomo), Bargello Museum, Uffizi Gallery, and Piazza San Firenze. The Florence airport is within a half hour drive or ride on public transportation.

Rooms at the hotel are a mix of old and new: There are signs of renovations such as modern headboards with matching desks but some of the tile floors have dirty grout and beds are covered with thin bedspreads rather than duvets. Accent walls with textured paint or wallpaper and artistic pictures of Florence add a touch of character to some rooms. Bathrooms are small without much counter space. They have stand-up showers or shower/tub combos, heated towel racks, hairdryers, and meager amenity kits. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and private safes. Guests complain that rooms get noise from both outside and from the hallways, with noisy guests returning late at night. 

There aren’t a lot of amenities at the Albergo Firenze, but there is a free breakfast buffet served in a large room including yogurt, cereals, pastries, and cheeses. Milk is available as well as three coffee machines for guests to use. The hotel has elevators and free Wi-Fi. There’s also an Internet corner in the lobby with two computers for guests to use.
