The Premiere Hotel is a family-run property, a retro green three-story building, that delivers personalized guest service and budget prices, with a location set back one block from the beach. The value hotel’s small entrance walkway is flanked by hedges. Shiny white tile floors, comfy leather chairs, recessed ceiling lights, and floor-to-ceiling windows create a modern atmosphere in the lobby. Tourist pamphlets are by the wooden front desk. Mario, his wife Lucia, and their son Federico, run the hotel and host barbecue gatherings on the patio, inviting guests to attend. There’s a grill available for guests to use and a white patio table with chairs. Rooms are accessible via stairs since there’s no elevator. The atmosphere is relaxed and no frills with the added touch of personalized service.

It’s the hotel’s close proximity to the beach, located across Atlantic Boulevard, that sets this property apart from its competition. Beside the hotel is the Casablanca Cafe, with a few restaurants and other hotels in the surrounding area. The Bonnet House Museum and Gardens is within walking distance. The Sun Trolley passes by the hotel, going to Las Olas Boulevard in 10 minutes, where there are galleries, shops, and restaurants. Museum of Discovery and Science is a 15-minute drive and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts is 20 minutes away. The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale is a five-minute drive. It’s a 30-minute car trip to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

White interior designs -- from the bedspreads to the wooden furniture -- and tile floors create a clean and modern feeling in rooms that have floor-to-ceiling windows, flat-screen TVs, DVD players and free DVDs, safes, irons/ironing boards, air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and microwaves. Yellow and blue accent walls are in some rooms. Bathrooms are clean and furnished with basic fixtures -- some have retro tiles -- and showers or shower/tub combos. Efficiency Rooms and Suites include full kitchens with oven/stoves, large refrigerators, dining tables, and patio furniture on hallway walkways, which feel like balconies that have partial sea views. 

Outdoor hallways overlook the heated, retro pool, which is well-kept. The pool deck, bordering the street, offers striped lounge chairs, patio furniture, umbrellas, and a wheelchair lift. Potted palms on the deck, where there are partial sea views, add a bit of Florida charm. Under the hotel there is a small parking lot available for free to guests. Beach chairs and towels are also offered on request at the front desk. There is no restaurant on-site, but the hotel does host barbecues on the outdoor patio. Wi-Fi throughout is free.
