La mère de tous les musées de Boston est le Musée des Beaux-Arts (MFA), où vous pouvez littéralement passer des jours à lire attentivement. Assurez-vous d'inclure la collection Art of the Ancient World (également connue sous le nom d'exposition de l'Égypte ancienne) dans votre itinéraire, car c'est l'une des plus belles au monde. L'admission est par contribution volontaire après 16 heures le mercredi. Gratuit pour tous de 17h à 21h tous les jeudis pour les jeudis soirs libres et gratuit pour les familles (jusqu'à 2 adultes accompagnés d'enfants de 12 ans et moins) le dernier samedi de chaque mois à l'exception de décembre. Sur le nouveau South Boston Waterfront au 100 Northern Avenue, presque en face de l' hôtel Seaport .

Le Harvard Museum de Cambridge offre l'entrée gratuite aux résidents du Massachusetts le samedi de 10 h à midi. 485 Broadway à Cambridge. En outre, le Muséum d'histoire naturelle de Harvard est gratuit pour les résidents du Massachusetts tous les dimanches matin (toute l'année) de 9h00 à midi et le mercredi de 15h00 à 17h00 (de septembre à mai). 26 Oxford Street, Cambridge, juste après Harvard Yard.
