The Servatur Waikiki occupies five eight-story white towers set around a large pool deck and a pleasant garden with dozens of palm trees. From the outside, the hotel is no different from the many other mid-range all-inclusive properties in town. Interiors, though, are a step above many of this hotel's competition, with a cheerful yellow-and-white color scheme and colorful accents in common areas. The entire property looks fresh and contemporary. Parquet floors and minimalist furniture in yellow, lime-green, red, and blue lend the lobby a simple and stylish vibe, while large windows let in lots of sunlight. This playful, bright decor style continues in other public areas, including the restaurant, the kids’ club and the lounge bar. The grounds are pleasant but busy with children and activities in or around the pool, and lounge chairs are generally taken before breakfast. Still, its fun and relaxed vibe, cute decor, and good food gets this hotel extra points when compared to other all-inclusives. 

Servatur Waikiki is located on an avenue lined with other hotels and private homes. While mostly residential, this part of town is only a 10-minute walk from the main dining and nightlife areas, and 15 minutes from Yumbo Centrum, a popular mall known for its many clubs and bars. The hotel offers free shuttle service several times a day to the beach, which can also be reached on foot in about 10 minutes. Those looking for a quieter, more romantic atmosphere may want to drive to the Maspalomas dunes and beach, located about 10 minutes from the hotel. There, guests can also find a number of restaurants, bars and small shops. The Waikiki is a 20-minute drive from the airport. There is free but limited parking on-site.

The hotel has 484 air-conditioned rooms, all decked out in a cheerful white-and-yellow color scheme with pops of gray. White floors and white minimalist furniture with clean lines are a little generic, but large abstract paintings in yellow and brown hues -- and yellow accent pillows and bed runners -- add some style. Large sliding windows open onto balconies furnished with a couple of chairs and a table, some overlooking the pool, and others the street. Rooms are spacious, with entry-level Standard Rooms coming in with 25-square-meter floor plans (269 square feet). All units are equipped with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, free safes, and sofa beds. Superior units offer extras like robes, slippers, mini-fridges, and electric kettles, while Family Rooms feature a separate living area complete with trundle or bunk beds. Bathrooms are clean and appealing, with gray wall tiles, large walk-in showers with mosaic tiling in white and gray hues, and round sinks over white counters with wooden shelves. The hotel provides wall-mounted hairdryers and a few basic toiletries. 

The hotel’s spacious deck has a large family pool with a separate kiddy section and palm trees and umbrellas for shade. There are dozens of loungers packed together all around the pool, but some guests complain that most get reserved with towels before breakfast. Poolside activities such as aqua fitness and water volleyball are available in the morning, and kids are kept busy at the cute kids’ club, which features a game room for arts and crafts and a small water park with slides. Couples seeking a more relaxing atmosphere can check out the adult-only deck, complete with a big shaded whirlpool and a number of loungers. 

Tiki Bar offers poolside drinks in a spacious area with outdoor seating, while main meals are offered at the buffet restaurant. Food here gets good reviews, but some guests find the spread a little repetitive after a few days. There's also a bar with live entertainment and billiards tables. All-inclusive rates are available. 

The hotel also features an appealing glass-enclosed fitness center with a few cardio and strength-training machines -- unfortunately, it's a bit small given the size of the hotel. Outdoor tennis and beach volleyball courts are also available, and there's also a hair salon. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel, which isn't always a given in mid-range hotels in these parts.
