Shops, restaurants, and other hotels are all within close proximity of the property. The Lopesan Costa Meloneras overlooks the ocean, and it’s a short walk to the beach. It is roughly a 30-minute drive from the airport. Parking at the hotel is convenient, but expect to pay for it.

Even the Standard Rooms at the Lopesan Costa Meloneras are fairly large and have marble floors that add a luxe touch. However, the natural wood furnishings are a bit on the plain side. Some rooms have neutral color schemes that blend well with the simple furnishings. Others, however, have brightly painted walls and colorful curtains that may seem garish to some guests. Each room comes with a decent-size balcony that features a table and two chairs, but the views vary. The bathrooms are a particular highlight, as they are spacious, with deep bathtubs and separate showers. They feature marble floors and walls and come stocked with robes and bath products. Upgrading to a suite offers at least twice the amount of space. Each one offers a separate sitting room and bedroom. All rooms and suites come with free satellite TV, but charges for the use of Wi-Fi and safes leave some guests feeling nickel-and-dimed.

The Lopesan Costa Meloneras caters to leisure travelers with an impressive array of amenities and activities. The massive pool complex is a definite standout. Its surrounded by palm trees and lush vegetation and its focal point is a lake-like infinity pool with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.

The spa, which is as awe-inspiring as it is expansive, is also a huge draw. It includes a Himalayan salt cave, a Kneipp cold water pool, a sauna, an igloo, a flotation pool, and an aqua dome that showers guests with three different water experiences per minute. The spa’s unique architecture, which includes Arabian-inspired and cave-like designs, gives the place an otherworldly feel. However, hotel guests must pay to access the spa facilities, including the fitness center.

The resort has a separate gym that guests can use at no charge and also offers a number of free activities, which include yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, and aerobics. For the little ones, there is a kids' club and a playground. Hotel guests also have free access to volleyball, table tennis, shuffleboard, and a putting green.

Other activities, however, come at an extra fee. They include miniature golf, tennis, and billiards.

When it comes to dining, guests have numerous choices, as there are three a la carte restaurants and three buffet spots here. The resort offers a half-board option that includes breakfast and dinner buffets, but some guests have complained that the food tends to be bland. There are also seven bars, including four that are poolside and serve light snacks.

Though the resort has more of a vacation vibe, it does offer business-friendly services and amenities. These features include four meeting rooms of varying size, including a plush-chaired cinema, as well as the rental of audiovisual equipment. Expect to pay a charge for Wi-Fi.
