Seaside Grand Hotel Residencia has a cozy feel with classic decor and understated luxury. The overall look follows a Spanish Colonial theme, with warm colors and handcrafted decor. Teak furniture is placed throughout the hotel, in both the guest rooms and common areas, adding to the classic charm of the hotel. The lobby is large, with low white ceilings, mosaic tiled cornices, plants, and light blue and yellow furniture. The many surrounding palm trees continue through to the swimming pool area, which includes a large heated outdoor swimming pool and plenty of sun lounges and parasols, along with the Pool Bar. The restaurant includes both indoor and outdoor seating on the terrace. Breakfasts are casual, served buffet-style; the restaurant later transforms into a romantic candlelit setting, with a pianist in the background, and a four-course fine-dining meal. The Piano Bar offers a sophisticated setting for pre- and post-dinner drinks, with live music for entertainment. The hotel is mostly frequented by older couples, many are returning guests.

Seaside Grand Hotel Residencia is located south of Maspalomas, in Bartolome de Tirajana; in the middle of a palm grove and not actually on the seaside. There are a handful of boutique shops, restaurants, and bars within walking distance from the hotel and the beach is only a five-minute walk away. For golf fans, Maspalomas Golf Course is a five-minute drive from the hotel and Anfi Tauro Golf Course an 18-minute drive away. The capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is about a 45-minute drive on the northern side of the island. The Trasmediterranea ferry terminal is a 48-minute drive for those arriving and departing by boat. The Gran Canaria Airport is a 26-minute drive from the hotel. 

The 94 rooms and suites feature classic Spanish Colonial decor and furniture. There are Standard Rooms, as well as Junior, Master, and Presidential Suites. The rooms are truly lovely and there are small touches of interest like strips of handmade mosaic tiles along the walls, fresh flowers, framed artwork, and white and blue vases and lampshades. The carved wood furniture adds to the charm of the rooms, as do white-and-blue bedspreads, and matching curtains and chair covers. All include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, coffee machines, electric kettles, minibars, desks, safes, free Wi-Fi, and private furnished balconies or terraces. Windows overlook either the palm tree lined garden or pool area. The en-suite bathrooms feature mosaic tiled walls and large wood-framed mirrors. Shower/tub combos, magnifying mirrors, and underfloor heating are provided, along with hairdryers, L'Occitane toiletries, slippers, and bathrobes. Fresh fruit, Pellegrino water, and a newspaper are delivered to guest rooms each morning for a truly hospitable touch.

Free breakfasts are served buffet-style, and dinners are served along the lines of fine-dining with four-course meals. Buffet barbecues are offered two nights a week. The Piano Bar offers a sophisticated atmosphere for drinks with live music in the evenings. The Pool Bar serves delicious tapas, snacks, and a selection of cakes during the afternoon. A spa is available on-site, and includes an indoor heated pool, sauna, and salt cave; with an array of beauty and therapeutic treatments on offer. There's also an outdoor fitness center, though the selection of cardio equipment available is quite limited. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Parking at the hotel is free and widely available.
