The Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong is a luxurious hotel with classic, elegant decor. Brightly-lit spaces, thanks to walls of windows that face Victoria Harbour, are commonplace throughout the property. The lobby has a large, airy foyer with a minimalist design. Think: grand tan marble columns, seating areas set with leather green or deep purple plush chairs on a circular carpet, abstract art, potted green plants, and a grand white marble staircase that leads to upper floors. The restaurants really exude the luxury that the Four Season brand is (usually) known for. Large crystal chandeliers, velour or leather seating, patterned carpet, fancy dining layouts, and sheer gray panels with shadow-like landscapes of China are just some of the elegant decorative details. Opened in 2005, the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong is fairly new and underwent renovations in 2012 to replace all of the technical equipment. Most guests are business travelers utilizing the hotel’s location to the International Financial Centre, though couples, and well-heeled families, are close behind and can be seen congregating at the pool or in one of the many restaurants. 

The Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong has an ideal location in the International Financial Centre of Hong Kong Island. It’s just five minutes on foot to Victoria Harbour. The short walk will take travelers to one of the many piers from which guests can take a ferry to an island. The hotel is also connected to the IFC Mall that has a variety of upscale dining and shopping options, plus a movie theater and an Apple store. Victoria Peak can be reached in a 20-minute drive. To visit other parts of the area, guests can hop on the light rail, with the closest station located a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Hong Kong station is a seven-minute walk away, though the hotel does provide a free shuttle that goes to and from the station. Expect to pay for parking if you bring a car. 

Rooms come in two sleek and modern styles: luxurious Western-inspired design or elegant Chinese-inspired one. Western-inspired rooms have light purple or gray silk-paneled walls, marble entryways, black headboards and lamps, and lilac-colored carpets. The Chinese-inspired rooms have a warm color scheme of creams and tans, dark wooden furniture, Chinese-style cabinets, lotus flower art pieces, and cream carpets with red circular designs. Wall-to-wall windows accented by remote-controlled drapes provide views of Victoria Harbour or Victoria Peak. A flat-screen TV with a Blu-ray player and HDMI cables are included in each room. Desks stocked with office supplies are a nice touch, as is free bottled water and fruit. Air-conditioning, stocked minibars, and coffee/tea makers are also included. Suites have PlayStation 3s and separate living room areas; some come with dining room tables and kitchenettes with a two-burner stove tops, sinks, and microwaves. 

The spacious bathrooms are luxurious and feature large walk-in showers that have waterfall showerheads, deep soaking tubs, and spacious countertops with two sinks. An illuminated magnifying mirror, hairdryer, scale, and L’Occitane or Biologique Recherche toiletries are nice additional amenities in the bathrooms. 

This luxury hotel’s best feature is its pool area. The leisure pool and lap pool play music underwater, and there’s a hot tub and a cold plunge pool. The pools are lined with sophisticated black lounge chairs and cabanas. The most impressive part of the complex are the stunning views of Victoria Harbor and the city's skyscrapers. Snacks and drinks are served at the Pool Terrace bar. 

A wonderful spa offers beauty treatments and massages, along with a dedicated nail bar. There's an Ayurvedic treatment to open the third eye. Couples treatment rooms are available and many of the rooms have large windows with sweeping views of Hong Kong. The 24-hour fitness center offers Tai Chi classes and Technogym workout equipment with individual TV screens and free headphones. Personal training is available upon request. 

As for dining, there’s Caprice, a French, two-star Michelin restaurant, and Lung King Heen, a Chinese, three-star Michelin restaurant. Guests must make reservations for the restaurants and some have complained about subpar service and food quality for restaurants located in an upscale hotel. The Lounge, a restaurant, and the Blue Bar are located in the lobby and serve alcoholic drinks and international and local food. The hotel also offers 24-hour room service and made-to-order breakfast or a breakfast buffet for a fee.

Business travelers are completely catered to at this Four Seasons. There's a 24-hour business center, concierge services, free Wi-Fi, and elegant furnished meeting spaces with views of the harbor. The hotel also has cultural ambassadors that will provide guests with introductions to the Hong Kong culture. Secretarial services are available for an additional fee. 

The Executive Club Lounge, located on the 45th floor, is included with certain suites or for an additional fee. Guests with access get free breakfast, afternoon tea, light supper, full bar privileges, use of the boardroom, expedited check-in and checkout, and a separate concierge team. 

Most Four Seasons properties cater to little ones and this property is no exception -- even the spa provides services for kids. Children under the age of 18 stay for free with their parents, and rooms can be baby-proofed for safety and set with cribs. A welcome toy, kiddy toiletries, and child-size robes are available -- there's also kids' menus for room service. Babysitting can be arranged for an additional fee. The concierge desk has a variety of family-friendly itineraries for visiting Hong Kong.
