Hotel Ses Figueres is a family-run property that has been on the scene since 1958. It was one of the first hotels in the area, and it shows. From the street, the hotel looks like a small residential building, with a small awning entrance and its name displayed on an iron sign written in cursive. Upon entering, guests are greeted with travertine tile floors, a large slate reception desk, and stairs lined with a brass handrail. The lobby area has a few sets of dated wooden tables and chairs, a large TV, and small bookshelf. Gauzy red-orange curtains hang from the large windows and contrast with the bright-blue chair cushions. The hotel is plain, basic, and a little reminiscent of a retirement home. Nevertheless, however dated the furniture is throughout the hotel, it's in great condition, and spaces are clean, bright, and comfortable, making it a good value for travelers wanting a quiet, no-frills spot next to the water. 

Hotel Ses Figueres is located in the quiet area of Talamanca, surrounded by a mix of hotels and residential buildings. It's across from the water and marina, though there's not much of a beach here due to the rocky coastline. However, there is a small boardwalk area with restaurants and bars where guests can get a drink or bite to eat. There are also an ATM and car rental company located within a few minutes' walk from the hotel.

The 39 guest rooms at Hotel Ses Figueres are simple and basic, but spotless. Expect polished tile floors, dated wood furniture, and mostly bare walls with a piece of generic framed art above the beds. Air-conditioning, small flat-screens with satellite channels, old metal safes with digital combinations, and mini-fridges keep things comfortable and convenient, plus free Wi-Fi is a nice perk. Single Rooms are small and narrow, outfitted with a single bed, desk area, and luggage rack. Doubles come with either two twins separated or side by side. These rooms can be snug, depending on the room layout. Triples are slightly larger and add another single bed into the mix. Doubles and Singles have upgrades to small tiled balconies with sea views. Cramped bathrooms have bidets, toilets, and shower/tub combos with plastic showerheads, plus basic toiletries and small hairdryers. 

On the rocky coastline of Talamanca, a sandy beach is hard to come by. The hotel does have a concrete sundeck surrounding a small patch of sand, and plastic sun loungers are available to guests for free. The sundeck is built right up against the water, and is a popular place for guests to hang out. Guests can also catch good water views from the hotel's restaurant, which serves up a decent breakfast buffet for an extra fee, and well-priced set menus and items for lunch and dinner. Inside, the restaurant has a dated Mediterranean look, but the outside patio is contemporary, with stylish wicker seating and great marina views. This spot also serves at the hotel's bar. 

Guests can also hang out in the lobby lounge area. This space has a large flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a bookcase stocked with books in several languages. Reception is open 24/7 and can staff help book tours, store luggage, or buy tickets. Wi-Fi is free throughout. Unfortunately, there is no hotel parking, and street parking can be a pain, especially in high season.
