By airport hotel standards, the WOW Airport Hotel, opened in 2007, is a pleasant enough pick for those who want to stay near the airport, even if it is less trendy than its sister property, WOW Istanbul Hotel. The lobby is functional with an almost characterless business vibe. There's plenty of seating next to the floor-to-ceiling windows, often filled with guests passing the time on their computers or phones while waiting for the airport shuttle. Travelers will find the the breakfast area is clean and stylish with wood floors and white contemporary seating. The restaurant provides some pep with red and white checkered floors complemented by '50s-style red booths and rustic wood tables. With an airport location, business travelers are the main clientele and seem to be satisfied with the design and overall vibe. 

WOW Airport Hotel is located a 10-minute drive outside of the Istanbul Ataturk Airport. The hotel offers free 24-hour shuttles to and from the airport. The area is business-focused in other ways; there's a convention center on one side of the hotel and the Istanbul World Trade Center is on the other. The Istanbul Expo Center is just a six-minute drive away. It’s a 30-minute drive to Istanbul’s historic city center, though with a metro stop just outside the hotel, travelers might opt for convenient public transportation. There are not many dining options in the area, so guests will have to use public transportation, a car, or taxi to find diverse dining options. 

Thanks to a 2014 update, rooms here are clean and comfortable with a stylish decor in warm brown tones. The simple wood furniture and floors create an overall clean look. While the cream curtains, walls, and chairs can feel a bit monotonous, the dark brown headboards and bed accents with swirl designs create some contrast. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, one free bottle of water, free Wi-Fi, mini-fridges, and safes, though they lack coffee- and tea-making facilities. As a hotel with a mostly business traveler clientele, it’s a bit odd that rooms aren’t equipped with work desks. Bathrooms have a similar color tone to the rooms and are equipped with shower/tub combos, hairdryers, and toiletries. Smoking rooms are available. 

This airport hotel is loaded with features, some that are free and some that incur fees. Though it lacks a pool, there’s an on-site restaurant, Chopper’s Point Istanbul, that serves Turkish and international cuisine. Breakfast is a buffet with hot and cold options, for a fee. Room service is available, but varies in quality. There’s a lobby bar and cafe that offers beverages and appetizers throughout the day. The spa is small but guests can enjoy the sauna, and book massages and beauty treatments. Though there’s limited hours for the fitness center, it’s well-equipped with cardio and weight equipment. Wi-Fi is free, but there are varying reports on quality. Outdoor parking is free.
