Galleria Palms Hotel is housed in a five-story, yellow stucco building in a touristy neighborhood dotted with Disney gift shops and casual, family-friendly restaurants. While the property lacks originality, it does offer nicely kept grounds with palm trees, shrubbery, and tropical plants. Inside, the lobby has beige tile floors and a long front desk of red, black, and white tile. A small room off the lobby meets family needs, with displays of theme park brochures and a guest services desk for ticket purchases; there are also ice cream and soda vending machines, an ice machine, and an ATM. Breakfast is served in an area in the lobby with dark carpeting and black plastic tables and chairs. The small, outdoor pool is surrounded by the hotel’s parking lot, detracting from a relaxing vibe, but tall palm trees make it a touch more scenic. 

Galleria Palms Hotel is conveniently situated within a five-minute drive of the entrance to Disney World, home to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom Parks, Epcot, and more. In the immediate area there are several restaurants within a few minutes' drive or five-minute walk, including a steakhouse and diner-style eateries, as well as a supermarket and liquor store. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the Universal, Sea World, and Disney theme parks several times throughout the day and night. The Orange County Convention Center is within a 20-minute drive, and Orlando International Airport can be reached by car in about 25 to 30 minutes. 

Simple wall-mounted lamps, cozy bolster pillows, and framed paintings add touches of class to rooms, but the dark wooden bed frames and bureaus show some wear and tear. The overall color scheme of browns and beiges -- from walls to bedding to carpeting -- is understated  if a touch bland, and the pillow-top mattresses get high marks for comfort. All rooms have flat-screen TVs with cable channels and HBO, free Wi-Fi, mini-fridges, microwaves, and coffeemakers; some have small, extra sinks. Some bathrooms have double sinks, and ADA-compliant rooms are available with wheelchair-accessible showers; standard bathrooms have swirly-patterned beige wallpaper and white plastic shower/tub combos. 

I can't tell if the sinks come as standard -- they're visible in our photos of all rooms, but not mentioned on the website. 

Galleria Palms Hotel has a simple, rectangular outdoor pool with lounge chairs, though the surrounding parking lot limits privacy. There’s also a small fitness center with hand weights and a few cardio machines, including a treadmill. The free breakfast includes fruit salad, scrambled eggs, biscuits with gravy, and pastries -- guests who find it repetitive have restaurant options within walking distance. Attraction tickets can be purchased at the guest services desk, and the hotel runs a free shuttle service to various theme parks several times throughout the day and night. There are laundry facilities on-site, and Wi-Fi is free.
