Ramada Kissimmee Gateway is a massive budget resort. The main building is a towering eight stories, and there are more rooms in another two-story beige building. The grounds are pretty: tropical plants and palm trees surround the pools, and there are several outdoor seating areas, including a gazebo. Inside, the tiled lobby gets plenty of natural light from a skylight. It's spacious, with a long wooden reception desk -- all the better to serve the hotel's many guests. There are sofas for lounging, and wicker chairs lend a touch of tropical decor. Most of the guests are families visiting area theme parks.

One benefit of staying at this property is that it's located just about two miles from Walt Disney World. The other theme parks are all within a 30-minute drive. Restaurants, including Bob Evans, Perkins, and Black Angus Steakhouse, are all within a short walk's distance. Ponderosa, Sizzler, and IHOP are about a 15-minute walk away. Free parking is available on-site.

The rooms at the Ramada Kissimmee Gateway are average in size, amenities, and decor for a budget chain hotel. In-room features in each include a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. Some rooms could use fresh coats of paint, and other updates. Bathrooms consist of shower/tub combinations and single sinks. The rooms with the best views overlook one of the pools and the grounds, while other rooms have views of the crowded parking lot. The tower rooms, however, are the better option, offering newer furnishings and views of the nightly fireworks at Disney World. Only one-bedroom units are available, but some rooms have adjoining doors to neighboring units.

The Ramada Kissimmee Gateway is packed with amenities, including two outdoor pools, a putting green, shuffleboard quarts, basketball courts, and picnic areas. Unlike other nearby hotels, this property is pet-friendly. Wi-Fi in the rooms and throughout the hotel is free, as are parking, shuttles to local amusement parks, and weekday newspapers. The shuttle, however, has very limited service at the beginning and end of the day. Restaurants located at the hotel include Mulligan’s Sports Bar and Smokehouse Grill. There's a Sixt rental car counter and two massage chairs located in the lobby. Mulligan’s Sports Bar and Smokehouse Grill both feature various American cuisine choices with plenty of space for large groups. Mulligan’s serves dinner, while Smokehouse Grill serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
