Opened in 2010, Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur is an apartment-style hotel with the benefit of housekeeping. The hotel is largely contemporary, though some furnishings feel out-of-date, such as the striped couches in some units and lime-green couches in the lobby. Also on the downside, some past guests have reported maintenance issues in rooms and slow elevators. In addition to kitchens in rooms, the biggest pros here are location and extensive wellness facilities, including an outdoor infinity pool with lovely city views. Most guests here are couples or families on vacation.

Fraser Place is close to the center of the action of Kuala Lumpur, with shopping, entertainment, and major tourist attractions within walking distance. Petronas Twin Towers are a 12-minute walk away and KLCC Park is about 15 minutes away on foot. There are ample shops, restaurants, and convenience stores immediately in the vicinity, including a 7-Eleven just across the street. Suria KLCC shopping center and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre are both about a 10-minute walk away. The bustling shop- and restaurant-filled area of Bukit Bintang can be reached in 16 minutes by foot or five minutes by car. Free shuttles are available to area malls -- both KLCC Twin Towers and Pavilion shopping centers. There are two monorail stations within a 10- to 12-minute walk: Raja Chulan and Bukit Nanas.

Spacious rooms range from Studio Apartments to Four-Bedroom Apartments, all of which are decorated in the same fairly contemporary style. The cheery decor consists of light-wood furniture, wood floors, solid-tone bedspreads, and wall hangings, plus colorful striped couches and chairs covered in bright orange fabric. Living spaces, dining tables, and kitchens come standard, the latter of which are stocked with stovetops, microwaves, coffee- and tea-making facilities, ridges, and cookware. Also standard are free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and entertainment systems, desks, and closets with ironing equipment and electronic safes.

Bathrooms have separate bathtubs and glass-walled showers, hairdryers, and upscale Malin & Goetz toiletries. Some upgraded units have washer/dryers and/or private balconies. 

Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur offers a decent list of amenities, particularly in terms of wellness facilities. There's no spa here, but a wellness area has male and female sections with saunas, steam rooms, and hot and cold plunge pools. There's also a sleek outdoor infinity pool offering loungers and lovely city views. A 24-hour fitness center has a wide array of cardio and strength-training machines, but they're limited in number.Yoga and aerobics rooms are also here.

There's just one restaurant here, Swatches, which is only open for breakfast and lunch. It serves buffet-style spreads that receive positive reviews. Fortunately, there are many nearby restaurants. Coin-operated laundry machines and game rooms are also on-site, as are meeting rooms and a business center. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property and free shuttles are provided to KLCC Twin Towers and Pavilion shopping centers.
