An outdoor pool is the hotel's focal point, and its adjacent cafe serves popular home-cooked fare, but closes for several hours each afternoon. Vacationing couples and families form a loyal following here: They return for the solid setup, safe setting, and great location near beaches, restaurants, and main Plaza Pueblo Marinero. A bonus for Lanzarote complexes, there's an indoor lounge with game tables and bookshelves. Rock-bottom rates at the nearby Aparthotel Oceano may appeal to the more budget-conscious.

H10 Suites Lanzarote Gardens is one of the best upper-middle-range options for families in Costa Teguise. Its 241 apartments are clean and spacious enough for at least two adults and two kids, and all feature kitchenettes, sofa beds, and balconies or patios. Bungalows have fully equipped kitchens, and some units have bunk beds for children. The kids’ club is one of the hotel’s biggest selling points, with full entertainment programs for babies, toddlers, children, and teens. One of the hotel’s three pools features a pirate ship complete with five waterslides, and the buffet restaurant has a cute separate section for children. The location a short walk from the beach and the heart of the action in Costa Teguise is convenient, but the Lanzarote Gardens is not for those seeking a quiet, relaxing vacation. Families on a tighter budget may want to compare rates at Santa Rosa. 

Leisure travelers, particularly families, looking for mid-range, apartment-style lodging for a reasonable price will likely enjoy the Santa Rosa. The hotel doesn't have much in the way of decor, but it does have a large sports complex and the minimalist rooms here are clean and come with kitchenettes. The large indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and bowling alley are all made for family fun, as are the cold but lovely outdoor pools, which are surrounded by lounge chairs with parasols. Food is served buffet style and is a bit repetitive. Those looking for a seaside location will want to book elsewhere, as the nearest beach is a 10-minute walk away.

For an affordable break in the sun, the lower-middle-range Nazaret Apartamentos is a solid pick. The opposite Costa Eguise's main square has bars and restaurants galore, and beaches are a five-minute walk away. The hotel is showing its age, but atmosphere is cheerful on sun-drenched terraces, where loungers surround three outdoor pools. They're shared with sister property, Mansion Nazaret, but guests don't find this an issue. The 52 apartments are dated and non air-conditioned, but they come with kitchens, flat-screen TVs, and private balconies. An on-site restaurant is available, though it receives mixed reviews. All-inclusive rates are even lower at Apartamentos Blue Sea Costa Teguise Gardens, but it's less centrally located. 

For an economical beach vacation in the heart of Costa Teguise, the Apartamentos Galeon Playa are a good choice, particularly for families. The 141 apartments sleep up to four adults and two kids and are clean and comfortable, if a bit outdated when it comes to decor. The hotel also has 34 contemporary Junior Suites with traditional hotel-room layouts that fit up to three adults. There are two food options on-site: one buffet restaurant and one fast food-style place by the pool. Neither serves up gourmet fare, but there are several restaurants just a few minutes' walk down the street. There are four pools (two for adults and two for kids) and plenty of entertainment options here, including live music at night and a kids' club for the younger guests.

Celeste Apartments is a dated budget property with 85 one- and two-bedroom apartments divided among three buildings, each with its own pool. The hotel has an excellent location, just a three-minute walk from the beach and surrounded by a number of shops, bars, and restaurants. The only true amenities are the pools and free parking. Apartments are old and in need of an update, plus they lack air-conditioning and fans must be rented. However, they're spacious and have kitchenettes, terraces, and flat-screen TVs. Wi-Fi requires a fee. In this price range, Santa Rosa is a better value, with fresher-looking rooms and more amenities, but it's a bit farther from the beach.

For families with kids looking for a beach getaway with a lot of activity at a low price, El Trebol is a good fit. There's programming from the morning to the late-night hours, as well as lots of families, so a person in the market for a quiet vacation may want to look elsewhere. Rooms have twin beds pushed together, plus pull-out sofas in the living rooms, as well as kitchens with microwaves and stoves. The resort is located in a busy area near plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment options, though because El Trebol is an all-inclusive resort, it's easy for guests to stick around. Decor is dated and guests report the resort could be cleaned up in both public areas and rooms.

Ficus is a lively budget-friendly all-inclusive located a little away from the central tourist area in Costa Teguise. Its 109 apartments are clean and spacious, and feature kitchenettes, sofa beds in the living room, and furnished terraces or patios. Air-conditioning, though, is not available, and there are extra fees for Wi-Fi, safes, and many TV channels. The hotel’s buffet restaurant gets good reviews for quality, taste, and variety, and snacks are available between meals at the pool bar. The saltwater pool is the heart of the action during the day, but loungers seem to be a scarce commodity in peak season. While the hotel might fit the bill for guests looking for a bustling family-friendly property, Apartamentos Sol down the street is better suited for those seeking some R&R on the cheap. 

The two-and-a-half-pearl Mansion Nazaret is a dated, apartment-style property about a five-minute walk from the beach in Costa Teguise. Although the 60 apartments here are in need of some TLC, due to outmoded decor and evident wear, but they have living spaces, kitchenettes, and furnished terraces.Also on the downside, they lack air-conditioning. A small outdoor pool is surrounded by ample loungers and food at the buffet restaurant receives positive reviews. Free welcome bottles of wine and daily fresh room-delivered bread rolls are nice touches. Travelers wanting modern apartments and more facilities, such as a kids' club and multiple pools, should check out the H10 Suites Lanzarote Gardens.

Apartamentos Sol is a tiny budget apartment complex located a short walk from lovely Las Cucharas Beach and a range of shops, bars, and restaurants. There is little besides a small pool and a laundry room for guest use, but its 52 well-equipped apartments make it one of the best values in Costa Teguise for those seeking a cheap and cheerful self-catering vacation. Beds are comfortable, living rooms have sofa beds and flat-screen TVs, and unlike at some other apartment properties in town, kitchens feature all the necessities, including microwaves, mini-fridges, toasters, electric kettles, and coffeemakers. Some wear and tear is to be expected, though, and thin walls may be an issue for light sleepers. The poolside bar offers tasty lunch specials, but there is no full restaurant on-site. Those seeking the option of all-inclusive rates may prefer Blue Sea Costa Teguise Beach Apartments.

The two-pearl Oceano Apartments provides no-frills rooms at budget prices. Its central location means bars and restaurants are no more than a five-minute walk, and Las Cucharas Beach is just as close. The 40 apartment-style rooms are spacious, mostly contemporary, and outfitted with kitchenettes and private balconies. However, there are fees for nearly everything, from the microwaves and fans to the TVs and Wi-Fi. The all-inclusive Blue Sea Costa Teguise Apartments offers more on-site, but is less central.

The 150-room Vitalclass Lanzarote is a mid-range resort with a quiet atmosphere and secluded location about a 25-minute walk from the city center. Big, sunny apartments have full kitchens, large living areas, and terraces -- some with loungers. Decor, however, is dated throughout and in need of an update, and Wi-Fi, while free, is unreliable. The kids’ club offers daily activities for children 4 to 12 years old, and adults can join the soft entertainment program, which includes activities such as archery, water polo, and table tennis. The buffet restaurant serves a small, tasty spread, while snacks and drinks are available at the pool bar. The gym is great for a hotel in this category, but there is a fee for the indoor pool (except for all-inclusive guests). Families wanting a more bustling vacation may prefer Los Zocos. 

The 131-room Oasis Lanz Beach Mate is a casual, lower-middle-range apartment property with an excellent location in the heart of the action in Costa Teguise. There are dozens of bars, restaurants, and shops within a few blocks, and all of the area’s top beaches can be found within a five-minute walk. Apartments at this family-friendly hotel are spacious but hit or miss: renovated units are contemporary and feature air-conditioning, while non-renovated ones have worn furniture and dated decor. All, however, have kitchenettes, sofa beds, and balconies. Two of the four pools are heated year-round, and the restaurant serves a decent breakfast buffet, as well as Mediterranean food for dinner, and snacks and drinks during the day. Note that renovations are ongoing until late 2019. In this price range, Santa Rosa offers better value overall, but it's farther from the beach. 

The top selling point at this small budget property is the location within a five-minute walk of three beaches and a wide array of shops, bars and restaurants. The 99 apartments are spacious and clean, and feature kitchens, comfortable living rooms, and furnished balconies, some with ocean views. Decor, though, ranges for simple and contemporary to dated and old, and there are plenty of extra fees, including for hairdryers, Wi-Fi (free in the lobby), some kitchen tools, and most TV channels. The hotel offers all-inclusive rates, but food is subpar even for a value property. Directly overlooking the ocean, the main pool is pleasant and quiet, and there is another even more serene pool in the back of the property. Apartamentos Sol is a good alternative for those on a tighter budget, but the complex lacks a restaurant, and is a 10-minute walk from the beach.
