One of Lanzarote’s top luxury hotels, adult-only Lani’s Suites stands out for its polished design, top-notch services, and thorough attention to detail. All of its 25 sleek, contemporary suites are equipped with an array of high-end amenities such as wine coolers, Nespresso machines, and Chopard toiletries, and many have whirlpools on the terrace. The hotel’s oceanfront restaurant is known among locals and visitors alike for its excellent international menu, and is a favorite among couples for a romantic dinner. Butlers go around the lovely heated pool several times a day with free drinks, and body treatments are offered at reasonable prices in the small poolside massage room. Rates include Wi-Fi and a la carte breakfast, while airport transfers are available for a fee. The location right on the main drag and overlooking a small beach is convenient for all types of travelers, but those traveling by car may want to note that parking in the area can be challenging.

Rates aren’t cheap, but this is an outstanding mid-range pick for those wanting to get away from it all. For something a bit cheaper, consider Costa Sal Apartments.

Known for its striking design, La Isla y El Mar is one of Lanzarote’s top hotels. The luxury property's 81 stylish suites are equipped with an array of high-end amenities, such as Nespresso machines and premium minibars, and many have panoramic ocean views from their terraces. The pools are small but lovely, with jets, plush loungers, and a peaceful atmosphere, while the poolside bar keeps drinks flowing until the evening. The buffet eatery offers a varied, tasty spread, but the standout is the a la carte restaurant, housed in a sophisticated space with an outdoor lounge offering stunning ocean views. Body treatments and salon services are available at the spa, and freebies include breakfast and Wi-Fi. The location away from the city center allows for quiet nights, but there are few restaurants, bars, and shops in the area, and the nearest sandy beach is about 20 minutes away on foot. Travelers seeking something cheaper may prefer Nautilus Lanzarote, which offers pleasant apartments a short walk from the beach.  

The 187-room Las Costas is an upscale property with an ideal location directly on Los Pocillos Beach and an easy walk from the the main drag in Puerto del Carmen. The focus here is on relaxation, with a serene oceanfront pool, massage services, an outdoor whirlpool, and a limited entertainment program. Spacious rooms were renovated in mid-2016 and have stylish contemporary decor, large flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, microwaves, and double sofa beds. All rooms feature patios with loungers, but some may find them to be lacking in privacy. Food gets good reviews at the hotel’s buffet restaurant, and there is a small bar by the pool with a short lunch and snacks menu. Las Costas has a quiet vibe that is probably better suited for couples than families, but the hotel features a kiddy pool and a kids’ club with daily activities for those traveling with children. Neighboring Vik Hotel San Antonio is cheaper and livelier, but rooms are better at Las Costas. 

The 398-room Sentido Aequora Lanzarote is an upscale all-inclusive property located a five-minute walk from sandy Los Pocillos Beach. Couples will likely appreciate the adult-only pools and restaurant sections, as well as the several bars, but there are plenty of kid-friendly features as well, including kids’ and teens’ clubs, a game room with arcade machines, and a playground. Rooms are large and stylish, with laminate floors, a chic red and white color scheme, and great amenities such as flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, Nespresso machines (coffee is not replenished after the first day), and furnished balconies. Wi-Fi is free and strong throughout the property. The hotel’s three restaurants get good reviews for taste and variety, but there have been complaints of lukewarm food at the buffets. Those looking to stay a little closer to central Puerto del Carmen may want to compare rates at Hotel Lanzarote Village, but note that rooms are better at the Sentido Aequora Lanzarote.

The 331-room VIK Hotel San Antonio is an average mid-range all-inclusive resort located right on sandy Pocillos Beach. It has two large heated pools, a decent buffet restaurant, a full entertainment program geared towards older couples, and a friendly vibe. But the property is worn, and rooms, though spacious and clean, are in urgent need of an update. Kid-friendly amenities such as the kids’ club are available during Christmas and the summer months only, so those traveling with children in the off-peak season may want to look elsewhere. The upscale Los Fariones Hotel, located 10 minutes away, also has a kids' club and seasonal children's pool. 

The two-and-a-half-pearl BelleVue Aquarius hotel is less than a 10-minute walk to the closest beach. Popular with couples and families, this hotel has a generally quiet atmosphere with 167 apartments with kitchenettes and separate living rooms. All-inclusive rates are available at the on-site restaurant. The hotel serves a hot breakfast buffet in the morning and the outdoor pool is the main highlight here. However, the flat-screens TVs, safes, and Wi-Fi all cost a pesky fee and there have been complaints of grime and dirt. Travelers might want to try Apartamentos Panorama which has updated decor, a gym, and generally overall clean spaces. 

Spice Lanzarote is an adult-only, clothing-optional, mid-range hotel in a quiet part of Puerto del Carmen. This racy all-inclusive draws open-minded heterosexual couples of all ages and nationalities with a large outdoor whirlpool with adult-oriented entertainment, a room for private and group sex games, a spa offering regular and sensual body treatments, and services such as couples' erotic photo shoots. Everything is allowed here as long as it is not offensive to others, and there is a strict "no means no" policy to ensure everyone feels comfortable. Just note that most rooms are worn and have basic amenities. Couples seeking a more traditional hotel stay may want to check out the VIK Hotel San Antonio or Sol Lanzarote.
