Low-lying white Mediterranean-style buildings set a relaxed tone that guests will notice as soon as they arrive at the VIK Coral Club. The color scheme is blue and white and there are lounge chairs not only at the pool, but throughout the resort – a constant reminder to slow down and relax. The lobby area is small and modest, with a few small sofas and Internet stations, but it’s not designed for lingering. Most guests opt to relax outdoors instead. The entire property is tranquil, except at the pool area, where loud music is frequently blasted. Most guests here are leisure travelers, and many bring their entire families. 

Located on the Atlanic Ocean and the most western point of Lanzarote, VIK Club Coral Beach is set way from it all, providing a quiet getaway from much of the bustle of Playa Blanca, a popular fishing village about a 10-minute drive away. As the property is surrounded only by other hotels and apartment complexes, a car is necessary to go pretty much anywhere. The popular resort of Puerto del Carmen is a 15-minute drive away while the airport is a 35-minute drive. The Lighthouse Punta Pechiguera, one of two in the island, takes 10 minutes to reach by car or about an hour on foot. Renting a bike for exploration is possible, but it’s a long ride to the commercial areas.

Large, clean rooms -- all with two bedrooms -- come standard at VIK Club Coral Beach. There are 60 rooms available in three categories: Villas, Sea View, and Premium. Decor is unremarkable: rooms are mostly white with striped coverlets and curtains. All come with small kitchens, living/ dining areas with televisions, and furnished outdoor spaces. Premium Rooms come with a few extras, including microwaves and outdoor showers. Air-conditioning is only available in the master bedroom and the living area, rendering the second bedroom uncomfortable for some guests. Extra fees apply for the use of hairdryers and ironing boards. Towels are changed daily and bedding every other day. The hotel can arrange for children’s cribs on request.

With a central buffet restaurant and a self-serve snack bar, most guests of the VIK Club Coral Beach take advantage of the all-inclusive resort and the generally good food it provides in large part because there aren't really any other shops or dining options close by. It’s for this same reason that guests tend to stay close to the resort during vacations and take advantage of the large, heated adult pool and associated activities – including water polo and aqua-Zumba. For younger guests, there's a children’s pool, a playground, a mini-disco, and a kids' club. The very popular Chill Out Terrace serves cocktails and is a great place to watch the sun set over the sea. Note that even for guests opting for the all-inclusive package, drinks at the terrace are an extra cost. The terrace hosts parties every Wednesday and Friday. Though the property is built in front of the ocean, there isn't a proper beach.
