Eurostars Das Letras hosts a mix of business and leisure travelers in a modern building on a tree-lined street. Right inside the lobby, an eye-catching structure made of strings of cascading glass bubbles makes for a dramatic focal point. The chic seating area comprises tufted purple benches, gray and silvery couches, and gothic-style black chairs. A buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant, a small modern space with marble floors and wood-paneled walls, which looks out on the bar’s patio.

Eurostars Das Letras is in a central location within a five-minute walk of Avenida da Liberdade, home to luxury brand shops like Chanel and Versace. The hotel sits on a steep hill, making it a difficult walk for guests carrying luggage. It’s around a 10-minute car ride to Principe Real and Bairro Alto, lively tourist destinations with restaurants and nightlife. There are two metro stations within walking distance, putting the airport within a 40-minute commute on public transportation, and sightseeing destinations like Praca do Comercio, St. George’s Castle, and the Alfama neighborhood within a 20-minute ride.

Rooms are modern with hardwood floors, light-gray walls, and minimal decor. Furnishings include wooden desks, striped floor-length curtains, and book-inspired artwork hanging over the beds. All rooms have wall-mounted flat-screen TVs, coffee- and tea-making facilities, minibars, bathrobes, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms are modern, but some guests find the glass doors and modern multi-jet showers more of a challenge than an asset. Smoking rooms are available. 

The hotel has a restaurant on-site that serves breakfast, as well as Portuguese and international fare. There’s also a small bar with outdoor seating on a patio. A fitness center with hand weights, a resistance machine, an elliptical machine, and a sauna gives multiple ways for guests to break a sweat. There are four meeting rooms available for private events plus a business center with two laptops.
