Public transportation is also convenient, with the Restauradores Metro Station, Rossio train station, and the pick-up and drop-off point for the airport bus just two minutes away on foot. The Coliseu dos Recreios and the Teatro Politeama are also a two-minute walk away. Rossio Square, one of the city's main squares, is a four-minute walk from the hotel. It's a five-minute walk to the shopping district of Avenida da Liberdade, while the Santa Justa Elevator is a six-minute walk away. The historic Alfama neighborhood is about a 20-minute walk or 15 minutes on public transportation. Lisbon Airport is a 20-minute drive or around a half-hour on public transportation. 

Rooms at the Rossio Garden Hotel are spacious, with spare interiors, contemporary furnishings, and dark-wood floors. The long windows, some with balconies and views of the city, are framed by white, floor-length curtains. Beds have tufted leather headboards in shades of cream, brown, or taupe and are topped with white linens -- guest remark that the quality is good -- and accent throws and pillows in shades that include navy, red, or taupe. Some rooms are furnished with curved, black leather sofas and low tables. Some guests report that lower floor rooms can get cooking smells and noise from nearby restaurants if the windows are open. Each room has a wall-mounted flat-screen TV, a safe, and free bottled water. There are no mini-fridges or coffee/tea facilities, much to the dismay of many guests.
