Parmer's Resort is a relaxed property in a residential neighborhood in Little Torch Key. The main building sits amidst a sandy, waterfront property dotted with palm trees, Adirondack chairs, and rainbow-colored hammocks. A stone walkway lined with logs and bamboo stalks leads to the blue door of the cozy reception area, a small space that also functions as a shop, with various items available for purchase such as T-shirts, ice cream, snacks, and soda. An oversized black-and-white beach photo hangs behind the front desk, imbuing the space with a tropical feel. Breakfast is served in a plain room with wood-paneled walls decorated with local photography and a giant fish. The property also offers an outdoor pool around which guests can relax on loungers and umbrella-shaded tables and chairs. Guests are typically couples and families, plus fishing hobbyists will be particularly happy here, as the hotel offers marina access and a fish-cleaning station. 

Parmer's Resort sits in Little Torch Key, about 35 minutes from Key West. There are several restaurants within a 10-minute walk of the property. Loo Key Reef is a five-minute drive and offers great diving opportunities. National Key Deer Wildlife Refuge is a 15-minute drive; Bahia Honda State Park is just 12 minutes away by car; and Marathon is a 45-minute trip. Miami International Airport is about two and a half hours away by car.

The Parmer's simple, no-frills rooms have white bedding and walls, beige tile floors, and charming wooden furniture painted in pastel shades. All have small TVs (some are tube-style) with cable, air-conditioning, private porches, and basic bathrooms with small stall showers or shower/tub combos and free toiletries. Some rooms also have mini-fridges, microwaves, and coffeemakers. Efficiency apartment-style units with one, two, or three bedrooms and full kitchens are available, while waterfront cottages have dining areas overlooking the water as well as wraparound porches. Cottage decor is somewhat more interesting, with tropical-print bedspreads and rugs, though not especially stylish. Housekeeping is available for a fee; linens and towels can be exchanged for no cost. 

Parmer's Resort offers a free continental breakfast with cereal, toast, and fruit. The marina is available to guests, and there are boat rentals on-site, along with a fish-cleaning station for those who come back to the property with catches. Guests can relax at the oval-shaped outdoor pool, play bocce or mini-golf, or just kick back in a hammock or waterfront Adirondack chair. Wi-Fi is free.
