The main building’s exterior is stately with columns supporting the second floor terrace which overlooks the restaurant's outdoor patio. Classic, upscale furnishings fill the lobby, which was last remodeled in 2011 and features a charming spiral staircase. The other multi-level buildings are modern with gray, industrial exteriors. The peaceful wooded grounds -- which are shared with residents from the neighboring assisted-living home -- include a greenhouse and lovely lawns dotted with patio furniture. Overall, the hotel appeals to leisure travelers and business guests seeking a quiet and historic hotel. 

The hotel is set in a quiet residential area on sprawling grounds that are shared with an assisted-living home. Within walking distance are a couple of restaurants, but more options can be found in the old town. The property is across the Loire River from central Tours, which is a seven-minute drive and home to such sights and attractions as the Tours Cathedral, Chateau de Tours, Musee des Beaux-Arts de Tours, and Musee du Compagnonnage. The Jardin Botanique de Tours is a 10-minute drive away. Many travelers use this hotel as a base to explore the Loire castles, which are 30 minutes by car. It’s a 10-minute drive to the Aeroport Tours Val de Loire, while Paris is under a three hour-drive.

Rooms and suites that are in the historic main building have classic interiors that include French headboards, colorful splashes of decor, and rich draperies. Other rooms are more modern in design with stylish wallpaper, colorful details, and wooden furnishings. Amenities include flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, safes, coffeemakers, and minibars, plus upgraded rooms add private balconies or terraces overlooking the gardens (though some overlook the parking lot). Junior Suites have living rooms and Family Suites offer separate bedrooms. Facilities at the Clarion Hotel Chateau Belmont are either classic or modern. La Table du Chateau Belmont serves traditional French cuisine in the historic main building with jazz music, contemporary designs, a small bar, and a terrace that overlooks the gardens. Wine tastings on Fridays are a nice way for guests to mingle. More seating is available in classically designed parlors with antique touches and a conservatory. 

In a separate A-frame building are two modern meeting rooms that have colorful ceiling details, offering 110-square-meters of space and modern audiovisual equipment. The indoor heated pool, also modern in design, has lounge chairs on its surrounding deck. The spa has a hot tub, hammam, and sauna, while the small fitness center is equipped with various cardio and weight machines as well as a barre area.
