But the thumping music from the mall can be heard from many rooms, and the many extra fees -- for in-room Wi-Fi, safes, electric kettles, and most TV channels -- may make guests feel nickel-and-dimed. The seasonal rooftop pool is a highlight here, with bay views and a bar serving cocktails and snacks, and the fitness center, while small, has a decent array of cardio and strength-training machines.

The 184-room Sol Wave House is an upscale beachfront hotel attached to the Wave Entertainment Venue, a small water center with two wave pools. This hip property is a step above the average Magaluf hotel, with an infinity pool lined with cabanas, chill DJ sessions, and a young, lively crowd. All rooms are Junior Suites or Suites complete with basic kitchen facilities, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, large rainfall showers, and balconies; many have expansive pool and sea views. The all-inclusive, 534-room Botanik Lara is an upscale resort on Lara Beach, a 30-minute drive from the center of Antalya. Most rooms are modern, and all have furnished balconies, some with beautiful sea views. Other rooms, though aren't quite up to the level of luxury the hotel claims. Facilities include outdoor and indoor pools, a full-service spa, six restaurants and nine bars.

The 245-room Sirenis Hotel Club Tres Carabelas & Spa is a popular all-inclusive right on the beach. Rooms are spacious and bright, and include balconies, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and air-conditioning. The upper-middle-range property includes an outdoor pool with whirlpool and snack bar, a fitness center with cardio- and weight-training equipment, a good buffet-style restaurant, and daily entertainment. The hotel is a popular pick for bachelor and bachelorette parties, which can mean noise at times. Sister property Sirenis Hotel Goleta & Spa is located next door, and while its rooms are more modern, it does not offer all-inclusive rates. Guests at either hotel are permitted to use the facilities of the other.

Popular with young people, the spacious and often busy Majestic Spa Hotel is a mid-range property located right in the center of Laganas, offering guests easy access to the bustling nightlife as well as the nearby beach. The on-site restaurants and bars operate on an all-inclusive basis. There's a large pool area, as well as a spa offering a variety of treatments as well as an indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath, and fitness center. Rooms have balconies, but are underwhelming decor-wise, with tile floors, outdated polyester bedspreads, and standard wood furniture. Due to its location on the main strip and its popularity with young people, the hotel itself can be noisy, and many of the public areas are not always clean. The hotel also charges additional fees for a number of services, including pool towel rentals, air-conditioning, and Wi-Fi.

The Ryans Ibiza Apartments is a mid-range, adult-only party hotel geared toward young travelers. The heart of the hotel is an indoor/outdoor restaurant and bar that opens up onto a terrace with a pool surrounded by loungers and umbrellas. The hotel has events -- like live DJs -- day and night. There's also a roof terrace with loungers and a hot tub. Its 77 one- to three-bedroom apartments are roomy and feature pleasant, contemporary decor with bright accents, pullout sofas, fully equipped kitchenettes, and free Wi-Fi, though daily housekeeping costs an extra fee.

The three-pearl azuLine Hoteles Mar Amantis I & II is very much a hotel of two halves, one that appeals to older couples and families with small kids, and the other geared toward more raucous groups of younger guests. Its location on the beach at the quieter end of Sant Antoni also means the party-central neighborhood of West End is a cab ride away. The all-inclusive plan appeals to those on a budget, and resort-style facilities like swimming pools and a kids' club check the boxes for families and younger groups.

The all-inclusive Zante Plaza Hotel & Apartments has a central location (walking distance from the beach and strip) and 65 apartment-style rooms with pool-view balconies, flat-screen TVs, and simple decor. The mid-range hotel is popular with the younger crowd for its proximity to the bustling nightlife of Laganas, and its small but attractive pool area and patio (there's also a separate quiet pool). The on-site restaurant uses ingredients from the hotel-owned farm for many of its meals. Public areas and rooms can often be noisy due to the younger clientele and the nearby action on the main strip.
