Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City

The Four Seasons Mexico City offers a lush and quiet oasis smack dab in the center of Mexico City. The colonial-style building has a gray and white facade and centers around a gorgeous courtyard set with a star-shaped Spanish-style fountain, colorful flowers, and trimmed hedges. Whimsical steel statues add a little fun to the lawns.There's a small swimming pool and sun deck set with orange and steel sun loungers. Inside, the lobby looks like an upscale private living room. Clean lined gray sofas and red velvet armchairs provide places to chat or work. Enormous gold-framed mirrors and oil portraits line the walls. Wood floors are warmed up with geometric print rugs and there's a white marble fireplace. Public spaces are clean and thoughtfully laid out. Many of the guests here are upscale business travelers, though couples and families of well-heeled tourists like the brand recognition and location, too. 

Four Seasons Mexico City is located just where Paseo de la Reforma meets Chapultepec, so it has fast access to a bustling and busy city street and peaceful park packed with a zoo, jogging paths, and food vendors. For those who want to take care of business and leisure, it's hard to beat this location. Within a five-minute walk are restaurants, bars, banks, chain stores, designer boutiques, art galleries, and handicraft stores. The Mexico City International Airport is about a 35-minute drive, depending on traffic. Parking at the hotel is available for a fee and staff can arrange transportation in their private fleet of luxury cars complete with bonded drivers. 

Each of the 240 luxury rooms and suites at the Four Seasons Mexico City were renovated in 2015 to include contemporary style and updated technology. Rooms overlook either the courtyard in the back of the property, or the city streets, but all rooms have double glazed windows and are reasonably quiet. The Standard Rooms have a bold black, white, and burgundy color palette. A king-size bed has a black wood frame and silk screen forest scene hangs on the wall behind it. A burgundy upholstered bench anchors the bed and a clean-lined gray sofa adds additional seating space. Oddly, thick rope holds the lighting fixture over the work desk. Technology includes free Wi-Fi, a multiline telephone, iHome dock, and flat-screen TV. Spacious white marble bathrooms include a separate soaking bathtub and L'Occitane toiletries. Free bottles of water and a loofah are nice extras. Bathrobes and fluffy towels add a spa-like quality to the bathrooms. Suites provide the same decor and amenities, with the added convenience of a minibar and larger seating area with two sofas. 

Features at the hotel are divided into business and leisure. One the leisure end of the spectrum, there's a full service spa with two treatment rooms, a sauna, and a whirlpool. Massages, facials, and treatment packages can include local ingredients like chocolate and Mezcal, and an ancient massage technique that incorporates warm pouches of quartz stones mixed with aromatic rosemary and chamomile flowers. The fitness center offers modern Technogym cardio equipment with individual television screens and an Internet connection, plus free weights and strength-training machines. Outside, there's a small swimming pool and sundeck. For business travelers, Wi-Fi is free, but spotty, throughout the hotel. There's a dedicated business center with a multilingual staff and variety of scanning, faxing, and copying services on offer, along with Mac computers and desktops. Event and meeting rooms are available in several different configurations and can include audiovisual equipment. A dedicated concierge and reception staff can assist with transportation, recommendations, and booking excursions. 

There are five dining and drinking outlets at the hotel and each provides gourmet food and beverages at an additional cost.Reforma 500 provides contemporary Latin American and international cuisine in a semi-formal dining room for breakfast, Champagne brunch, lunch, dinner, and dessert. There's a full children's menu and breakfast is served a la carte. Look for the egg white omelet with Oaxaca cheese and cactus paddle, serrano chili and pasilla sauce. Reservations are recommended for dinner and there's both indoor and outdoor seating. Il Becco serves Italian food in a fine-dining setting from lunch until late night. There's a huge selection of antipasti, risotto, steaks, and freshly made pasta dishes. A full wine menu and cocktails are also available. El Bar offers an English library vibe and overlooks the beautiful courtyard. A full-time mixologist whips up specialty cocktails and this is where an American-style breakfast buffet is served each morning. A gourmet a la carte bar menu offers tacos, tortas, and desserts. Pan Dulce provides French pastries and coffee both to-go and in a small dining area. The sweets shop ends the day with an hour long Dom Pérignon hour.Room service is available 24 hours a day, with a menu divided into breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night dining. The food selection is from El Bar and Reforma 500.
