Guests complain it can be a long walk in the heat to the nearest restaurant. It’s an 11-minute drive north to the Bal Harbour Shops, and a 10-minute drive to the Miami Beach Golf Club. The clubs and restaurants in trendy South Beach are a 20-minute drive, and guests should expect a 25-minute drive to Miami International Airport.

Rooms have a modern appeal with white walls, white tile floors, and sleek black furnishings. Added homey touches include paintings on the walls and floor-length curtains. Rooms are equipped with flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi, as well as small kitchenettes with microwaves, mini-fridges, toasters, coffee machines, and sparse cookware.
