SENZA Hotel

Built in the late 1800s, the hotel was purchased by new owners in 2006. The once country-style bed-and-breakfast has now been transformed into a luxury hotel with a deep connection to the surrounding wine country. The entrance to the hotel has signed vineyard plants, bronze sculptures, large trees, and bubbling fountains. The modern lobby includes zebra cushions and a slate reception desk. There’s also a fireplace and free newspapers. The overall ambience is decidedly romantic, and guests tend to be couples looking for a peaceful wine-country getaway, although on-site conference facilities also attract business travelers. 

Centrally located in the Napa Valley between Napa and Yountville, the hotel is directly adjacent to Highway 29, which runs through Napa Valley. It's within a five-minute drive of the Trefethen Family Vineyard, Alston Park, and Andretti Winery. The Darioush Winery and Black Stallion Winery are each a nine-minute drive from the hotel. Downtown Napa is eight-minutes away by car and has plenty of dining and shopping options. The Napa County Airport is a 20-minute drive away. Self-parking at the hotel is free. 

The 41 rooms and suites at the Senza are similarly decorated with sophisticated decor, including quilted headboards, white blankets, and furniture, linens, and upholstery in shades of olive green, gray, beige, and white. There are unique pieces of modern wall art throughout. Rooms have iPod docks, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi as well as microwaves, mini-fridges, and coffeemakers. Each room has a fireplace and a private balcony or patio with beautiful views of the grounds. Bathrooms are finished with wooden floors (some of which are heated), windows, and large walk-in showers -- some also have separate soaking tubs. Views include everything from vineyards, to the pool, to the parking lot. 

The SENZA Spa uses locally sourced products for its massages and facials, which can be performed in the spa or right in guest rooms. There is an outdoor swimming pool with covered cabanas and lounge chairs, a hot tub, and a fire pit on the scenic grounds. Continental breakfast is included in room rates and features pastries and breads from the famous Bouchon Bakery, hard boiled eggs, and fruit. Breakfast is served in a small room with contemporary booth seating or can be taken outside on a patio with deck furniture and a fireplace. Free wine and cheese pairings are offered in the evenings. The small fitness center has modern equipment, but it's only open from early morning until the evening. Wi-Fi is free throughout. Board games are available at the front desk and there's an airy meeting room with high-ceilings that can accommodate upwards of 80 people.
