While rooms are pleasant, the real draw to this hotel are its myriad features, including multiple meeting rooms, two swimming pools (one for adults, one with a waterslide), a lazy river, a huge 24-hour fitness center, and a spa with a eucalyptus steam room. Dining options are equally abundant and include a steakhouse with private dining options, a sports grill, and a pool bar with meals and frozen cocktails. Travelers looking for something equally upscale and with a grotto-style pool, may want to also consider the Hyatt Regency Orlando nearby. 

An upscale resort that seamlessly blends business savvy with family-friendliness, the JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes is a solid option for all kinds of Orlando travelers. This upper-middle-range property is a massive lakeside resort with lovely features including seven pools, a pretty spa, and several dining options. All condo-style units feature homey touches such as kitchenettes, modern technology, and warm decor, and guests can take their pick of everything from studios to four-bedroom villas. While freebies are plentiful, they come at the cost of a daily resort fee. Nonetheless, this resort is an excellent pick for families and business travelers -- but guests may consider comparing prices with the nearby Westgate Palace.

This sprawling upper-middle-range chain hotel offers 613 rooms right in the middle of Orlando's action. Clean, contemporary rooms have modern features like flat-screen TVs and iPod docks, some with balconies or patios. The hotel has two outdoor pools plus a kids’ pool, and there’s a modern fitness center with a sauna and steam room alongside on-site dining options. This hotel is a popular business destination, but the location near theme parks and restaurants draws tourists as well, though there is a mandatory resort fee that covers things like Wi-Fi and area shuttles. Travelers looking for more space might want to investigate the Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa, which has condo-style rooms, though they aren't as fresh.
