Manila Marriott Hotel

Pasay, Metro Manila, Luzon

Essentially an upscale airport hotel, the 342-room Manila Marriott Hotel is located within the Resorts World complex and caters to business travelers and well-heeled transit passengers passing through Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The cookie-cutter chain hotel rooms are expectedly upscale and comfortable, with deep soaking tubs and huge flat-screen TVs. Hotel features include six dining options, a small outdoor pool, extensive business features, an excellent fitness center, and full-service spa. The surrounding Resorts World complex is also home to a casino, dozens of restaurants and bars, a mall, and movie theaters. Rates are some of the steepest in Manila -- Maxims next door is one of the only hotels that's pricier -- and free Wi-Fi is limited.

Conrad Manila

Pasay, Metro Manila, Luzon

Opened in 2016, the 347-room Conrad Manila is a sleek, luxury property connected by walkways to the SM Mall of Asia and SMX Convention Center. It's ideally located both for business travelers and tourists, and views of the amusement park and bay are lovely from multiple vantage points. Rooms are swish and decorated in mostly neutral tones, featuring rainfall showers, smart TVs, and Nespresso machines. However, lower-category rooms lack tubs and Wi-Fi is only free for Hilton Honors members (though it's free to join). Excellent features include a high-end spa, outdoor pool with a bar, well-equipped gym, a well-reviewed international buffet restaurant, and Chinese eatery. Those looking for a similar stay closer to Manila’s historic center might want to check out the long-established Manila Hotel.

Hotel Jen Manila by Shangri-La

Pasay, Metro Manila, Luzon

Hotel Jen (formerly Traders Hotel) is an upscale business property located in northern Pasay, a few miles from the airport. Rooms are spacious and contemporary, with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and modern bathrooms. There are two solid (if slightly pricey) restaurants, two bars, a decent gym, and well-equipped meeting rooms -- but no full spa. The pool area is pleasant enough, with a small bar and a kiddy pool, but is in need of an update. The location right on Roxas Boulevard is convenient for moving around town, although heavy traffic is to be expected during rush hour, making the theoretically 20-minute drive to Makati and the historic center an hour-long trip at times.

Maxims Hotel – Resorts World Manila

Pasay, Metro Manila, Luzon

Located within the Resorts World complex, the all-suites Maxims Hotel is a luxury property catering to high rollers. The 172 rooms are spacious and equipped with upscale amenities such as interactive TVs with wireless keyboards, DVD players, and deep soaking tubs. Villas have private pools, kitchens, and massage cabins. Maxims has all the features expected of a high-end hotel, including a large pool with cabanas, several dining options, a spa, and a fitness center. Freebies include Wi-Fi, breakfast, shuttle service to the airport, and parking, but rates are some of the steepest in town. The neighboring Manila Marriott Hotel has similar amenities and more reasonable rates, though no casino.
