La Casona De Rimacpampa is an attractive budget hotel, that's at once a bit eclectic and entirely homey. It sits on a stone stepped plaza and has a welcoming, traditional feel. Inside, there's a certain ramshackle charm about the place. The building is arranged around a central courtyard set with patio tables and giant cacti, and there are historic murals of local scenes painted on the walls. The restaurant on the first floor overlooks the courtyard, and there are coca tea stations and sofas scattered around the first floor hallways. It's not polished by any means, but it's a quaint option that's conveniently located, and guests are largely families or groups of friends.

La Casona De Rimacpampa has a good central location for visitors, and all of Cusco's top sights are within walking distance. It's just a couple of minutes to Qurikancha Temple, and less than 10 minutes to the Museum of Contemporary Art. You can reach the central Plaza De Armas and Cusco Cathedral in 10 minutes on foot as well, and it's about the same distance south to the city's main train station, Wanchaq. The airport is a 15-minute cab ride, and it's a 30 minute drive to Poroy Station for Machu Picchu. 

Rooms at La Casona De Rimacpampa are simple, with wood flooring and a mix of details that feel either marginally more modern or just a touch dated. The furniture is a bit shabby but they're a decent size, and have a homey style, with local artwork on the walls. Expect to see accents like floral bedspreads in some rooms, and some scuffs on the walls. However, other rooms are decked in more attractive neutral-toned linens and hues. Quad Rooms and spacious two-story Family Rooms are especially ideal for families and groups of friends. All units feature flat-screen TVs, safes, free Wi-Fi, and heating. All bathrooms are private and basic, with white tiling and stall showers. They include key toiletries like soap and shampoo sachets. 

Features are slim at La Casona De Rimacpampa, though it has a pretty interior courtyard with shaded tables, and a small lounge on the first floor where coca tea is available all day. The buffet breakfast includes eggs made to order and other hot and cold options. It's free with bookings. There's a guest PC with internet access, and the front desk provides a range of useful services, including photocopying, luggage storage, and laundry. There's a small meeting room, and Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
