This hotel is located off of a busy street that winds up the cliffside. At the hotel entrance, guests are immediately greeted with a glass-sided building, and a stylish, contemporary lobby housing polished marble floors and slatted wooden decor. Decor throughout the hotel is modern and stylish -- think chic woven chairs on wooden terraces, water fountain features, and mosaic tiling -- while garden grounds help provide a slightly secluded feel. The cliffside location allows for sensational ocean vistas from the infinity pool, restaurants, and many rooms. It's worth noting that the property is spread out over the mountainside and that some rooms (mostly the Deluxe category) are placed farther back from hotel features and may require more walking and climbing. 

The Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay is located less than a five-minute drive to Kalim Beach and 10 minutes from Patong Beach. The cliffside location means there's no direct beach access here, but the views over the sea are stunning. Guests are within 15-minute drive to several cafes, bars, and shops, including the Jungceylon shopping mall. Unfortunately, the immediate area outside of the hotel is a high-traffic zone, so walking is not encouraged. Phuket International Airport is about a 40-minute drive north. 

The 194 rooms, suites, and villas (majority in the last two categories) have a modern, minimalist look that's more sophisticated in upgraded units. Expect slatted wooden doors, textured neutral fabrics, and wicker accents, plus hanging light fixtures, island wall murals, and striking coral wall hangings in some. All units have furnished terraces, with either garden or ocean views. Standard amenities consist of flat-screen TVs with USB and HDMI inputs, fast and free Wi-Fi, desks, and minibars. Deluxe Rooms have sleek bathrooms with showers, hairdryers, and toiletries, while upgraded units add freestanding tubs. Some units also add private plunge pools and loungers, sofa beds, and espresso machines. Villas have small kitchenettes with mini-fridges and microwaves. Expect firm beds and be prepared for a lot of walking and climbing to reach the Deluxe Rooms. 

The Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay has plenty of amenities to keep guests occupied on-site. Firstly, two narrow infinity-edge pools are along the cliff, allowing for gorgeous views. The pool over by Building B tends to be the favorite for its small swim-up bar and ocean vistas, while the second pool has more of a garden view and is located off the restaurant and gym. Both pools have small decks with sun loungers and umbrellas. Since the majority of the rooms have their own private pools, there's not much struggle to grab a spot in the sun and the vibe at both pools is relaxed. 

The Zana Spa has a menu of Thai-inspired treatments and a Vichy shower. The gym is flooded with natural light thanks to lots of floor-to-ceiling windows, with one side overlooking the pool. It's a clean and spacious space, but there's not a lot of equipment beyond a handful of state-of-the-art Life Fitness cardio machines, free weights, an all-in-one, and a few other pieces of exercise equipment. 

The main restaurant serves up a popular breakfast buffet (fee), plus lunch and dinner menus with mostly Thai cuisine. Latitude 98 also services the 24-hour room service menu. Thabtim Cafe is down by the garden pool and has terrace seating and a healthier menu, while the Poolside Deck Bar is over by the other pool dishing out classic Thai dishes, snacks, and drinks. All-day casual bites and bar drinks are available with beautiful views off the lobby at the Infinity Lobby Bar. 

There's a free shuttle service (reservations recommended) that takes tourists to both Jungceylon and Patong Beach, and an airport shuttle service is available for an extra fee. Other features include a kids' play area, dry cleaning service, and concierge that only works with a specific list of local tour operators. Meeting an event space is available and guests get access to free Wi-Fi throughout the property.
