Mohegan Sun is a gigantic luxury casino hotel set in the middle of its namesake Native American reservation overlooking the Thames River. The property has 1,200 rooms and suites across 34 floors, and added the 400-room Earth Tower in November 2016. Along with three casinos and a 10,000-seat arena, features include dozens of restaurants, bars, and shops, a full-service spa, and an indoor/outdoor pool. Rooms are appropriately enormous, at a minimum of 450 square feet, and have marble bathrooms and comfy lounge chairs. Suites with hot tubs, butler service, and river views are available. While families are well cared for with a kids' club and arcade, most guests are couples. Nearby, The Fox Tower at Foxwoods Resort and Casino typically has lower rates, but offers far fewer dining options.
