Also within a 10-minute walk are Circus Maximus, Sant’Alessio all’Aventio, Piazza dei Cavalieri di Malta, and Sant’Anselmo. The Roman Forum and Colosseum are a five-minute drive or taxi ride, and the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and Vatican City are about a 25- to 30-minute trip by public transportation. Leonardo da Vinci International Airport is a 30-minute drive from the hotel, or about one hour by train. Travel times to Ciampino Airport are 30 minutes by car and 80 minutes by public transportation.

Hotel Aventino's 21 rooms are decorated in a traditional style using soft beige and gold tones and antique wood furniture. Decor can vary among rooms -- some have wood-beamed ceilings while other ceilings are coffered and painted in intricate patterns. Most rooms have parquet wood floors and antiques, and furniture includes nightstands, desks, and armoires. Some of the wood furniture shows a bit of wear and tear. Bedspreads generally match the drapes covering the large windows that open. Most rooms have shiny silver-wood headboards, mirrors, and wall sconces, and most have double beds, but there are a few triple rooms. Tiled bathrooms have mosaic floors and walls, windows that open, and tile vanities. Eleven of the 21 rooms have large whirlpool tubs with handheld showers and glass doors.
