Bottom Line

Partially renovated between 2012 and early 2014, the Hotel delle Province is a small mid-range property in southeast Rome near the University of Rome La Sapienza and a major hospital, an area with plenty of public transportation, shops, bars, and restaurants. The 46-room hotel is refined yet cozy and welcoming. Housed in a modern, comfortable building, the hotel has a reception hall and a small meeting room. A continental breakfast, which is included in the room rate, is served every day on the the roof garden. Suites offer bathtubs, city views, and in-room cardio equipment -- rooms on the lower floors can get noisy.

Hotel delle Province

Scene

Caters mainly to visiting academics and medical professionals.

Given its proximity, the hotel is frequented more by visiting academics and medical professionals than tourists, but it's close enough to rail and metro stations to make it a suitable option for visitors willing to trade a central location for lower rates. The hotel has an open reception area adorned with brightly colored hanging lights, long torch-like sconces, and patterned couches. A desktop computer sits on a wooden desk. There's plenty of tourist information and guide books on hand for guests to peruse.
