Many guests find Roman Holidays very difficult to find, and it's no wonder -- the rooms are housed in two separate buildings (a five-minute walk apart) which are basically apartment buildings. The front desk (check-in) is only open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and once guests are in the inn, they're pretty much left on their own. Roman Holidays is advertised as a B&B, but it feels like more of a pensione, with small, basic rooms and no common areas or amenities (even breakfast is served at an off-site local bakery). Coming back at night can feel more like going into someone's random apartment than a hotel (guests even have to turn on the hallway/stairway lights, since they're not left on all the time). It's a clean, solid option for budget travelers and for those who need a bed at night and little more. But guests looking for a true hotel or B&B shuould look elsewhere.
