Interiors don't wow in terms of decor; it's all fairly chainlike, but common spaces are clean and pleasant. The lobby is clad in lively orange colors that are paired with neutral hues and there are seating clusters on sofa in front of a flat-screen TV or curled into an armchair with a book from one of the hotel's shelves. There's free coffee and tea on hand, an inviting touch. Still, drop ceilings detract from the overall sense of style. Many guests choose to stay here due to the hotel's proximity to the Lackland Air Force Base, and the property attracts families in town for graduation.

There are a couple of casual dining options (Denny's, Subway, and a Thai spot) about a three-minute drive away. Many guests stay here due to the hotel's proximity to the air force base (which is around a 10-minute drive away) especially for special events like graduation ceremonies. The golf course is about a 10-minute drive from the property. The city center, where guests can find many more dining options, bars, shops, and attractions such as The Alamo, is a 15- to 20-minute drive from the hotel. San Antonio International Airport is a 27-minute drive from the hotel.

Rooms feature a sleek contemporary style clad in neutral hues, with clean-lined dark wood furnishings that include desks with ergonomic chairs, dressers, and large headboards with built-in nightstands.
