The hotel building has a traditional look on the exterior, with its adobe structure and wood beams extending over archways, and accent colors that recall a Southwestern sunset. Inside, common areas are sophisticated and inviting -- natural materials like wood and stone complement the ivory tones, and lighting creates a warm glow. Exposed beam ceilings, lustrous stone floors, and an art collection influenced by local history add to the beautiful surroundings. Door frames are often painted in Native patterns, framed works of art hang in stairways and hallways, and a three-story sandstone structure mimicking the Anasazi Indian building style contains a burbling fountain. The living room offers a few seating areas, shelves of books, and a kiva-style fireplace for a comfortable spot to gather and relax. The effect is a cozy elegance with an understanding of the roots from which Santa Fe grew. Clientele are primarily couples who come for the romantic atmosphere and unbeatable location steps from the shopping and sights of central Santa Fe. 

This hotel is in the heart of Santa Fe, conveniently located a two-minute walk to the central plaza. There are loads of art galleries, eateries, and shops within a five-minute walk. The New Mexico Museum of Art is a three-minute walk away, and the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is a six-minute walk. The beautiful, 19th-century Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi is a four-minute walk from the hotel. Over 100 art galleries and studios line Canyon Road, all within a 10- to 20-minute walk of the hotel. The mountains surrounding the city offer skiing and hiking, and there are a few within a 30-minute drive. Santa Fe Municipal Airport is a 20-minute drive away, and Albuquerque International Sunport is a 70-minute drive. 

Rooms are beautiful and in keeping with the Southwestern style of the hotel. The wood floors and ceilings complement earthy beige and ivory tones, and there are pops of color in pillows and artwork. Touches like kiva fireplaces and native designs in carpets or artwork maintain the authenticity of the design. Custom furniture, king-size beds (or two doubles), and cozy sitting areas add to their appeal. Top-notch amenities consist of 46-inch flat-screen TVs, minibars, Keurig coffeemakers, iPod docks, and safes. Free newspaper delivery, turndown service, and twice-daily housekeeping add to the luxurious atmosphere. Sleek, modern bathrooms come with shower/tub combos. Though lacking a swimming pool and full spa, the available features are high-quality. Excellent meals are served in the Anasazi Restaurant & Bar or on a charming patio in warm weather. The tequila tasting table at the bar offers the chance to sample unique flavors, and a wine cellar is available for private events. A sumptuous five-course dinner for two can be booked in a private room for guests seeking a special romantic evening. The modern fitness center is small, but it has a good range of equipment and is open 24 hours a day. There is no spa, but in-room massages and aromatherapy treatments can be arranged. Kid-friendly features include special menus, child-size bathrobes, and a range of available products designed to make traveling with babies easier. The only parking is by valet and it comes with a daily fee. Pets are allowed here for a fee. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property.
