This stylish boutique is a happy surprise located in an area of downtown that rarely sees a charming, full-service hotel. Though it lacks the classic attraction of the Puget Sound waterfront, you’ll have the Space Needle and many major Arts venues at your fingertips instead.

If you need to stay near the University of Washington -- and want to avoid chain hotels -- Hotel Deca is a solid option. While it certainly lives up to its name as a fun boutique hotel with swanky, bold decor, it lacks the polish and sightseeing perks of many of Seattle’s downtown properties.

The hotel is ultra-convenient -- it’s walking distance to almost every popular Seattle attraction -- but has limited services (no elevator, no gym), so if you’re looking for a bit of pampering and luxury, you’ll probably want to head to a larger, more traditional venue.
