Scene

Bright, modern, and stylish interior

From the outside, the Esperidi has the look of a parking garage or suburban shopping mall, but inside it’s modern and refined, with floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the airy lobby with natural light. The restaurant and bars are particularly stylish, with artwork, bright patterned furniture and funky light fixtures. The pool is huge, with a fountain and attached whirlpool, and the spa is filled with bright greens, blues and reds. The orange grove planted on the grounds adds plenty of green to the outdoor spaces. This hotel draws a wide array of visitors, everyone from business travelers to families to couples find this hotel suites their needs.

Location

A bit secluded, but relatively close to Selinunte

The hotel sits off the road from Castelvetrano to Selinunte, in an industrial area with not much else around it and spotty public transportation. Renting a car at the airport or the hotel is essential. The Selinunte archaeological area is 10-15 minutes south by car, as are the nearest beaches, and the hotel is about an hour south of the Palermo airport. Parking at the resort is free and convenient.

Rooms

Simply decorated with modern furniture and colorful accents

The Esperidi’s 99 rooms are bland but tastefully furnished and decorated in shades of creamy white, black and chocolate brown, while suites and deluxe rooms have bright red, yellow, green and gold accents. All rooms come with flat-screen TVs, minibars, safes, and small private balconies with older furniture. The large bathrooms are outfitted with pink tile and have stall showers with modern fixtures. Small packets of toiletries are provided and there's a powerful hairdryer mounted to the wall. Most windows overlook the tree-lined grounds.

Features

Large pool, modern gym and spa, and chic restaurant

The hotel has a large swimming pool surrounded by lounge chairs with a whirlpool attached, which non-guests can pay to use. For the athletically inclined, there’s a well-equipped gym as well as an on-site soccer field and tennis courts. The modern spa features an indoor pool and sauna, with body treatments and salon services offered. There’s also a large banquet hall with indoor and outdoor space, and the hotel provides entertainment and a kids’ club at peak times. The full-service restaurant with its Mediterranean cuisine is chic, as are the bar areas. Parking is free and car rentals are available, and the Esperidi offers a shuttle service to the beach.
