Bottom Line

The family-run Hotel Baia di Venere is a small but charming mid-range property with Mediterranean-style decor. It is just a two-minute walk to San Vito Beach; there isn't much else within walking distance. Rooms are simple but comfortable and clean, and some have terraces and balconies. The hotel has a lobby bar, a cozy TV room with sofas, a breakfast room with an outdoor balcony, and plenty of spots to get some fresh air, including a rooftop terrace and outdoor patios. Free Wi-Fi and free breakfast keep rates low. Overall, this is an excellent and clean beach hotel for families and couples watching their budgets on the beach.

Scene

Mediterranean-style decor and outdoor spaces

The front lobby of the Mediterranean-style hotel is small but charming, with bright yellow walls, wood trim, and tiled floors. A small bar and a cozy TV room with couches provide several areas for guests to kick back and relax. Outside there are various stone patios with Mediterranean patterned tiles, stone walls, and covered sitting areas. Short palm trees are planted in front of the hotel entrance which is also decorated with international flags. Both couples and families can be found on the scene, though most guests spend their time at the beach.

Location

A two-minute walk to the beach, but not much else within walking distance

The hotel is located directly off a main street with several residential homes and run-down buildings. The location is convenient for tourists, as it's just a two-minute walk to San Vito Beach. There isn't much else within walking distance of the hotel, but it's a 35-minute drive to Zingaro Nature Reserve and just under an hour to Trapani's city center. The Palermo Airport is around 80 minutes away by car.

Rooms

Small, simple, but clean rooms with balconies or terraces

The 12 guest rooms are small and simple, but clean and comfortable. There is minimal decor with just a few small paintings and sunshine yellow walls that help create a cheery ambiance. The lightly colored furniture is basic but contemporary. Each room has a desk, a flat-screen TV, an armoire, a mini-fridge, and air-conditioning. They also have either a small, cute, furnished balcony or terrace that looks out onto the street.  The bathrooms include patterned tiled floors and walls, and include a bidet and a small walk-in shower. Rooms are spotless and in great condition.

Features

Sunny breakfast room and rooftop terrace with potted plants

A free breakfast is served every morning in a charming breakfast room with large windows that opens onto a balcony. There is also a large rooftop terrace and bar with potted plants and seats so guests can lounge while soaking up the sun. Wi-Fi is free. The hotel is located right by a beautiful, sandy beach, which isn't exclusively for hotel guests but is big enough that visitors can have plenty of room to spread out and not feel like they are on top of each other.
