This small, tidy hotel sits next to the castle in the seafront area of Castellammare del Golfo and has a terrace with a lovely view of the harbor. An annexed building with additional rooms is located a short walk away. The cheerful cream-colored building is located right on the harbor, with a terrace in front of the hotel that has tables and chairs and lovely views of the small boats and castle. Behind the arched wooden windows are beautifully patterned tiled floors and old-fashioned, simple decor in shades of light blue, gold, and orange. The breakfast room is sunny and pleasant, with a small brick-covered bar.

The Cala Marina has a prime location in the harbor area of Castellammare del Golfo, and it's surrounded by pubs and bars. It’s a bit more than a 30-minute drive northeast of the Palermo airport, and the hotel provides a transfer service. Beaches for swimming are about a 15-minute walk away.

The air-conditioned rooms of the Cala Marina are on the small side, but are clean and simply decorated, with striped and floral fabrics and a palette of bright oranges, yellows, and blues. Small terraces are also on hand to enjoy the sea views. The neighboring pubs can be lively, but the hotel is well insulated from noise. Rooms have flat-screen TVs, minibars, safes, and hairdryers. Bathrooms are small and clean with stall showers. The annexed building with additional units on Bizet Street is a short walk from the main property.
