Il Principe Hotel is a three-and-a-half pearl hotel situated in the historic center of Catania, just a few steps from the Duomo and beautiful Crociferi Street, known for its Baroque churches. Rooms are updated and modern with marble bathrooms and, in some cases, whirlpool bathtubs while still retaining a few historical touches like small balconies overlooking the street. (It's a shame about the ugly coverlets on the beds.) Free continental breakfast is served each morning. There's a piano bar as well, but the piano is more for decoration than live music.
