With a look created by French fashion icon Christian Lacroix, the SO Sofitel Bangkok attracts luxury-loving young travelers with its trendy interiors and myriad amenities. The 60-room Anantara Seminyak Resort & Spa, Bali, is a luxury boutique resort located right on picturesque Seminyak Beach. The all-suites accommodations have a clean-lined, Zen-inspired aesthetic that underscores the decadent amenities like iPod docks, espresso machines, and walk-in rainfall showers. The hotel has two pools -- one infinity-edge, overlooking the beach and the ocean; the other, surrounded by a lush, serene courtyard. Two acclaimed Thai-Indonesian restaurants include a rooftop that's one of Seminyak's coolest nightlife spots. Anantara Spa is one of the island's most decadent spas, offering a full range of beauty and wellness treatments. Free Wi-Fi, bicycles to borrow, and an area shopping shuttle are available, and both room service and the business center are available 24-hours a day. 

Twinpalms Phuket is one of the most stylish and party-focused five-pearl options in Phuket. This boutique property is centered around a gorgeous swimming pool with a poolside bar. Surin Beach is reached by crossing a footpath through an empty field, which is slightly inconvenient, but it does mean that the party and drinking scene found at the property's two beach clubs doesn't filter over to the luxurious rooms. Most rooms have plunge pools or direct access to a semi-private lagoon pool, along with free Wi-Fi and furnished outdoor spaces. An on-site spa, modern fitness center, and chic restaurant round out the upscale touches at this intimate, 97-room hotel. 

Located within the Resorts World complex, the all-suites Maxims Hotel is a luxury property catering to high rollers. The 172 rooms are spacious and equipped with upscale amenities such as interactive TVs with wireless keyboards, DVD players, and deep soaking tubs. Villas have private pools, kitchens, and massage cabins. Maxims has all the features expected of a high-end hotel, including a large pool with cabanas, several dining options, a spa, and a fitness center. Freebies include Wi-Fi, breakfast, shuttle service to the airport, and parking, but rates are some of the steepest in town.

The Hard Rock Hotel Singapore is located inside the Resort World Sentosa, a complex of hotels, casinos, restaurants, and entertainment venues on Sentosa Island. Rooms are fairly spacious and feature flat-screen TVs, contemporary decor (with some bold color combinations), iPod docks, and photographs of rock icons. While beds are comfortable, some guests have complained about general wear and tear. Hotel amenities include a modern fitness center and a solid restaurant. The highlight of the Hard Rock is the gorgeous outdoor pool area with a swim-up bar, artificial beach, lap pool, and freeform pool. 

The luxury, 155-room TS Suites Leisure Seminyak Bali is a trendy and lively property near the beach and nightlife, with a huge array of on-site features. For starters, it offers a 24-hour rooftop pool and bar, 12 restaurants, a modern fitness center, and a nightclub. The trendy guest rooms have deep soaking tubs and include free minibar items; rooftop villas are also available. The party atmosphere can be disrupting in rooms, which tend to lack soundproofing. 

The 418-room Hard Rock Hotel Bali -- Asia's first Hard Rock outpost -- is an upscale resort in the middle of bustling Kuta, just across the street from Kuta Beach. Large, contemporary rooms have iPod docks and Nespresso coffeemakers. The are multiple pools and several on-site restaurants and bars. Of course, the brand's signature rock 'n' roll memorabilia is displayed throughout, and there's plenty for music enthusiasts. That being said, rates and restaurant prices can be steep.

Opened in 2015, the upscale Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint Hotel, is a stylish, modern property with some show-stopping features such as a rooftop pool and a private movie theater. Its 171 contemporary, streamlined rooms have large windows and city views and the suites have soaking tubs in their living rooms. Dining is a chic affair in the buffet restaurant and trendy bistro.

With its signature blue-lit rooms and sceney rooftop pool, the Dream Bangkok is part of the grown-up, hip Dream chain. One of the city's original concept hotels, the Dream has 195 modern rooms, a Thai-fusion restaurant with neon lighting, and a lively bar with a popular happy hour that attracts locals and guests alike. In addition to a luxury spa and state-of-the-art fitness center, there's also a complimentary tuk tuk shuttle to a major nearby shopping center with public transportation connections. Regular events are held at the bars, including salsa lessons, live music, and DJ sessions. It’s a bit further from Sukhumvit Road than other hotels, but the surrounding area is pleasant, with plenty of restaurants and other hotels. 

This four-pearl hotel has six floors of chic and spacious rooms, some of which have direct pool access. The 81-room property mainly attracts a young, trendy crowd who come here for the stylish surroundings and close proximity to the area’s nightlife. The location couldn’t be more central for Seminyak, and the hotel is right in the center of what’s known as Eat Street, celebrated for its huge selection of eateries, plus shops, bars, and clubs. The beach isn’t on the doorstep though -- it’s around a 15-minute walk or a five-minute cab ride. The hotel costs a little more than others in this category, but its contemporary rooms, large rooftop infinity pool, and trendy on-site bars and restaurant do have the wow factor.

On one of Bangkok's busiest streets in one of its busiest neighborhoods, the upscale, 297-room Aloft Bangkok has a buzzy atmosphere, great transport connections, and access to a plethora of dining and nightlife options. The well-maintained rooms are unfussy, with king beds or double queens, and basic bathrooms, plus free Wi-Fi. The hotel's restaurant and its bar/nightclub are both justifiably popular. Light sleepers may wish to request rooms on higher floors, as street noise can be considerable. 

A trendy, modern boutique hotel with 188 fun, urban- and music-themed rooms, the Galleria 10 Hotel is popular with hip young travelers, especially couples. Located in Bangkok's trendy Sukhumvit neighborhood, it has two restaurants and bars that are popular with scene-y locals: one on the rooftop, next to the pool, with panoramic city views, and the other on the ground floor, where the popular daily breakfast buffet is served (for a fee). There's also a small rooftop fitness center, but no spa. Specialty rooms include extra perks like free breakfast, free drinks at a nearby blues bar, and free souvenirs. The hotel is within walking distance of nightlife, one of Bangkok's luxury malls, and both a skytrain and subway station.

Located in the downtown Silom area and next to the Sathorn business district, the Pullman Bangkok Hotel G is a trendy, stylish hotel that caters to both business travelers and hip tourists. Its four restaurants and bars include two of the city's hottest spots -- 25 Degrees and Scarlett Wine Bar -- while the lobby cafe and bar is a lively spot to lounge, meet friends, or get some work done. There is a roof deck infinity pool looking out on the city, and, naturally, a bar to go with it. More recently renovated rooms are in the G category, and have an all-white, New York loft-inspired aesthetic; older rooms are still lovely, but their modern Thai look feels a bit less modern in comparison. The hotel also has a number of event and meeting spaces, a fitness center, and an outpost of the renowned Anne Semonin Spa. Much of the city's hottest shopping, dining, and nightlife is within walking distance, as is the closest skytrain station, putting the entire city within easy reach.

The Siam@Siam Design Hotel and Spa is a large and modern upper-middle-range hotel with a hip vibe and chic decor set in the center of Bangkok near Siam Square. The 200 rooms have large modern art paintings over the beds, and soft toned rugs set against dark wood furnishings. All have flat-screen TVs with satellite channels and minibars. The hotel has a small swimming pool and fitness center, plus a great variety of restaurants and bars to choose from: French to a stylish buffet to a rooftop Champagne and wine bar. Just minutes from the National Stadium skytrain station, there's instant access to the rest of the city, yet the hotel is tucked away slightly out of the main hotel zone. Wi-Fi is free.

An upscale, 281-room hotel that's connected to the Watergate Pavillion Shopping Mall, the Centara Watergate Pavillion Hotel Bangkok is a stylish, trendy place to stay in the heart of the city. The public spaces are especially impressive, from the chic rooftop bar that glows in cool shades of neon come evening, to the outdoor lounge area with over-water, cabana-style day beds. Rooms are big and minimalist in style, decorated in white, and outfitted with all the requisite amenities; bathrooms are stylized, some with cylindrical, aquarium-inspired showers. The hotel is in a perfect location for those in town to shop, as it's right in the heart of the city's many luxury shopping malls. 

Located right in the heart of Bangkok's trendiest nightlife area, Le Fenix Sukhumvit is an excellent pick for those who like to party. While the infamous red light district isn't far away, this street is far more upscale, and there is easy access to restaurants and bars, as well as the nearby skytrain. Rooms are small and lack views, but Superior Rooms have iPod docks, DVD players, and flat-screen TVs. The resort doesn't have a swimming pool or a spa, but its happening rooftop bar and restaurant is great for stylish nights out under the sky.
