Peace Resort

Peace Resort is a quiet tropical property and both of the hotel's prime facilities are positioned beachfront: the large lagoon-style swimming pool and an international restaurant and bar. Another one of the hotel's defining features is its sprawling tropical grounds, with grassy lawns, tall shade trees, and meandering garden-lined pathways. The sense of space adds a restful and tranquil quality to the property. The restaurant is housed in a large partially open-air building with unobstructed ocean views and a stylish contemporary aesthetic. With a uniform gray color-scheme, hardwood interiors, comfy seating, and hanging wicker basket lamps which give off a pleasing warm light. 

Peace Resort tends to attract mostly couples looking for a quiet retreat destination, as opposed to young partygoers who usually stick to the buzzing Chaweng strip. The hotel caters to families as well with the beach, swimming pool, kids' corner, and grounds offering plenty of space for play.

The hotel is located along Bophut Beach, a fairly quiet and developed area of northern Samui. The full-service Peace Tropical Spa (same owners) is located across the street. The vibrant Fisherman's Village is around a 15-minute walk or five-minute drive and the area features an array of boutique shops, beachfront dining venues, hip cafes, and bars. The Big Buddha Temple is about a 15-minute drive from the hotel. Chaweng, a 20-minute drive away, is the island's main tourism and party hub, featuring pumping nightclubs, beach clubs, cabaret shows, and local bars. The area also offers a large selection of restaurants and shopping options, including the island's largest shopping mall, Central Point Samui. Lomprayah catamaran speedboats leave from the Maenam Pier, located a 15-minute drive from the hotel. Lomprayah is one of the most reliable and quickest boat transfer options to Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, and Surat Thani (mainland). Samui International Airport is about a 20-minute drive from Peace Resort.

The look in all room types is fresh and contemporary, with an elegant blend of Thai stylings. Think: white walls, hardwood floors and trim, distressed gray wooden furniture, elegant marble touches, and earthy indigo textiles showcased throughout. Rooms are outfitted with wooden beds and quality mattresses, comfy sofas, work desks and chairs, and wardrobes. Standard amenities include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, refrigerated minibars, coffee- and tea-making facilities, and bottled water. Villas upgrade to capsule espresso machines and iPod docks. Some of the villas feature private plunge pools. 

Bathrooms have a sleek contemporary look that features marble floors and countertops, long bathroom vanities with twin sinks, walk-in rainfall showers, and deep soaking tubs. Bathroom amenities include bathrobes and slippers, hairdryers, and chic toiletries. All room types feature terrace or balcony seating areas and have plenty of natural light and airflow thanks to large windows and glass doors. 

Peace Resort has an extensive range of facilities on offer, though the property's biggest asset is access to white-sand  Bophut Beach and sprawling tropical grounds. There is ample room along the beach to stretch out, and the area is lined with plenty of lounge chairs and comfy beanbags. The swimming pool also tends to be a hub of activity throughout the day and includes a long lap pool, a separate shallow kids' pool, and a large wooden deck lined with lounge chairs and wooden sofas. The poolside bar serves drinks and snacks, plus offers daily happy hour specials. Seawrap Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a simple menu of Thai classics and Western comfort foods. Breakfast is served buffet-style and included in room rates. Additional facilities include a  playground, a small and modern fitness center, a Thai cooking school, meeting rooms, and a small business center. The hotel doesn't have a spa, but does offer traditional Thai massages on the beach. Wi-Fi is free throughout and free on-site parking is available. Vehicles, tours, and adventure outings can be arranged through reception staff.
