Guests should expect a relatively lively atmosphere with people coming and going regularly, though traffic noise inside is a rare complaint from previous guests. The lobby area is clean and uncluttered, with sharp black-and-white photos that help make a sober, modern first impression. The hotel has an industrial interior, with exposed iron beams and piping in the stairwell, and rooms surrounding a small central atrium. There's little reason to hang out at the hotel during the day, as it has zero common areas or frills. Instead, it's best used as a clean, up-to-date place to sleep at night.

It sits on on Daiichikeihin Street, a busy main road, with several office blocks nearby, and it's not the kind of neighborhood that's packed with local residents. For those looking to explore the city’s cultural sights, Zojo-ji Temple and the Zojo-ji Treasures Gallery are a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel’s location makes it perfect for reaching Hamarikyu Gardens, with its large ponds and beautiful landscaping, which are only 12 minutes away on foot. Tokyo Tower, which can be seen from some of the hotel’s rooms, is a 15-minute walk away, or seven minutes by taxi. The Imperial Palace, at the center of Kitanomaru Park, is an 10-minute drive away, while Oedo Onsen Monogatari hot springs are an 18-minute drive away. There is no on-site restaurant at the hotel, but there are local convenience stores nearby, and Chinese or barbecue restaurants on the same block. The hotel is at least 25 minutes by car or monorail from Haneda Airport, and an 80-minute drive or 90-minute train ride from Narita Airport.

The cozy rooms at Hotel MyStays Hamamatsucho are pleasantly modern, kitted out in a neutral brown and beige palette, with twin or double beds and patterned feature wallpaper. Accents in the soft furnishings include brown bed runners and red pillows, which look sharp alongside the dark wood-veneer furniture. Standard Rooms are quite small and narrow, at just 14 square meters (151 square feet), and are likely most suitable for single travelers. Superior Queen Rooms are more spacious, at 16 square meters (172 square feet), and feature backlit headboards and a larger desk areas. All rooms include flat-screen TVs, speakers, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, kettles, mini-fridges, electronic safes, phones, and trouser presses. The memory foam pillows are a nice comfort-adding touch. Some rooms have views overlooking Tokyo Tower, but most face other buildings. En-suite bathrooms have basic facilities including a small shower/tub combos, Japanese-style toilet, and sink. They do look a little dated compared to the main body of the room. Toiletries, pajamas, and slippers are provided. Smoking rooms are available. 

Like most value options in Tokyo, features here are extremely limited. One highlight is free Lavazza coffee available throughout the day from a machine in the lobby. Newspapers can be bought from the lobby and on-site parking is available, but must be reserved in advance. A small interior courtyard with patio seating serves as a smoking area. Vending machines and an ice machine are also available. There is no restaurant or kitchen on-site, but there is a selection of convenience stores and restaurants nearby.
