The Austria Trend Hotel has a fire-engine red facade on the street level that makes it stand out from its adjoining stark white buildings. The bold hue continues in the modern lobby, which has leather couches, cushions, wall art, and curtains, all in shades of red. Sleek LED lights line the ceiling and there are plenty of brochures on local attractions as well as a selection of newspapers on hand for guests to read. Due to its convenient location to shopping and historical attractions in the city, the hotel is ideal for business travelers and tourists alike. 

The Austria Trend Hotel is situated on Webgasse, a quiet, one-way residential street. It’s an eight-minute walk from Mariahilfer Strasse, Vienna’s longest shopping street that's popular with tourists for its numerous restaurants and shops. There is easy accessibility to public transportation, including the Westbahnhof train station, a 10-minute walk away. The Spanish Riding School, known for its lipizzaner horse shows, is seven minutes away by car and the historic Schonbrunn Palace is a 10-minute drive from the hotel. The Vienna International Airport is a half-hour drive away. 

In keeping with the property's color scheme, the 62 rooms have red carpets and accent walls; some may feel that the wall-to-wall carpeting looks dated. Oak-wood furniture and white bedding are more modern and create a striking contrast. Beds are crowned with long rectangular abstract paintings with touches of red. The extensive pillow menu includes soft, cuddly pillows, ones offering neck support, and Swiss stone pine pillows. Each room comes with a flat-screen TV, a minibar, and free Wi-Fi. Executive Room guests receive a voucher for a welcome drink, as well as free nonalcoholic drinks, bedtime candy, and the option for early check-in and late check-out. Bathrooms come with heated towel racks and walk-in showers, with the exception of those in Executive Rooms, which have shower/tub combos instead. 

The Morgenstund Restaurant offers a traditional Austrian breakfast buffet daily (for an additional fee) featuring regional and organic items, including fresh pastries, bread, muesli, and eggs. The breakfast room also has a children’s area complete with a mini table and chairs, books, and toys to keep kids entertained. The on-site meeting room can host up to 60 guests and comes equipped with a video projector. The lobby bar is open 24 hours and concierge services are available around the clock. There are self-serve laundry facilities in the building and pets are allowed, but there's no gym -- fitness enthusiasts can request a jogging route map from the front desk.
