This hostel is situated in a basic, cream-colored building that tends to blend in with the other buildings on the same street. Inside, decor is lively and modern, with wood floors, potted plants, a blue-and-white-tiled front desk, and colorful seating areas. Wooden crates and large benches with colorful mats give the place a rustic vibe. Most areas in this hostel are spacious, including the hallways, which have wooden floors and pink or blue Pop Art-style writing on the walls. The breakfast room has an upbeat nature theme, with terraced floor seating carpeted with green leafy designs and a number of potted plants along a wall of windows. The blue-tiled bar, lit by bare lightbulbs, has an industrial-chic vibe, with wooden crate stools and wooden tables with iron legs and worn black chairs. Overall, the hostel has an energetic atmosphere, especially at the bar, where groups of travelers hang out, have a drink, and sometimes play a game of pool. 

Located on a busy main road, wombats CITY HOSTEL Vienna “The Naschmarkt” is about a one-minute walk to Vienna’s most popular market -- the Naschmarkt. With many vendors and food from around the world, the market attracts those looking for delicious meals and local Viennese products. The hostel is surrounded by cafes and bars as well as a U-Bahn station that takes only a minute to reach. In terms of sightseeing attractions, Hofburg Palace is a 19-minute walk away, while St. Stephen’s Cathedral is 21 minutes on foot. It’s a 12-minute walk to the Vienna State Opera. Vienna International Airport is a 25-minute drive away.     

The hostel offers both mixed and female-only dorms with three to eight beds plus private rooms with double or twin beds. Like the main areas, all rooms offer a lot of space and have a rustic style with wooden bunk beds, wooden floors, and yellow accent walls and lockers. However, they lack air-conditioning. Bed linens and towels are provided free of charge. Most rooms have small tables and stools, though some look a bit worse for wear. Some private and shared rooms have wardrobes or small dressers for storage. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, hairdryers, and hand soap, but no toiletries. Note that some past guests have reported bedbugs. 

This hostel has features that encourage a social atmosphere. There's a daily happy hour at the lively bar, which has a pool table and serves drink, snacks, and pizza. Beyond vending machines to feed hungry travelers, the hostel offers a spacious communal kitchen with multiple stove tops, refrigerators, and a microwave, as well as free pasta. An all-you-can-eat breakfast is served in the morning for a small fee and includes pastries, cereals, cheeses, and meats. There's also a coin-operated laundry room with a foosball table. Other perks include luggage storage and bike rentals. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property.
