Bottom Line
Situated on The Royal Mile between Edinburgh’s Old and New Towns, this upscale hotel is ideally located for both tourists and business travelers. Formerly known as the G&V Royal Mile Hotel, the Radisson Collection Royal Mile Edinburgh now has refurbished accommodations. Rooms come in many sizes and feature a variety of amenities, and all are vibrantly decorated. Although it has an excellent restaurant and a small spa, the Radisson Collection is less charming than some of the more classically appointed luxury hotels in the area, and it lacks a pool. Travelers could compare this property with the ultra-stylish and upscale Le Monde Edinburgh.

Features
Fabulous restaurant, bar and spa, but no pool
The Radisson Collection Hotel Royal Mile Edinburgh has most of the amenities one would expect of an upscale hotel, with the exception of a swimming pool. The hotel restaurant serves gourmet Italian fare at lunch and dinner along with an afternoon tea featuring freshly baked cakes and pastries. Buffet and a la carte breakfasts are available in the morning, with full Scottish options, but they aren't included in all room rates. There's also a bar with a wide variety of wines and whiskeys. And room service is available throughout the day and into the evening.
The hotel has a fitness center with high-end machinery as well as a small spa offering a long list of massages and beauty treatments. Several meeting and private dining rooms can be rented out for special events. Parking is available on-site although it's subject to a daily fee. The front desk is open 24 hours, and staff can arrange tours, airport transfers, and laundry/dry cleaning services.
