Hotel Apartamentos Pyr Fuengirola is a 10-story, apartment-style property with a generic, sand-colored exterior. Interiors are also unremarkable, and dated -- think warm wood paneling, plush seating in patterned, blue, or red fabrics, and a mix of glass and wicker coffee tables. The only space that looks modern is the breakfast room, which has attractive light-wood floors and furniture, pale-gray walls and seat cushions, purple and charcoal accent walls, and tiny flower pots. Travelers generally spend their days by the big pool or on the rooftop solarium, though expect some wear on terraces and loungers. Travelers are a mix of families, groups, and couples, who are drawn to the central location just a few minutes' walk from the marina and beach.

Situated close to the promenade and beach, the hotel's location is great for those wanting to explore the area on foot. It might not be so great for light sleepers, though, as previous guests have noted that noise, particularly late at night, can be an issue. Hotel Apartamentos Pyr Fuengirola is just a few minutes' walk from the beach and lively promenade, and marina. Countless restaurants are bars are within walking distance, plus a few entertainment options, such as Bioparc Fuengirola (14-minute walk), Costa Water Park (9-minute walk), and Fuengirola Adventure Golf (15-minute walk). It's a 22-minute drive to the Malaga Airport. The Fuengirola train station is a six-minute walk away, and journeys to Torremolinos take 20 minutes.

This hotel consists of 220 spacious, apartment-style rooms, ranging from studios to penthouse units. Although fairly well-maintained, rooms have dated decor that's the same across the board, consisting of beige tile floors and walls are beige -- some with deep-red accent walls -- traditional wood furniture with blue trim, lumpy pale-yellow sofa beds, and striped blue and gold bedding. Generic artwork adds some personality. All rooms have furnished outdoor spaces, some of which have lovely sea views.

Studios have kitchenettes with mini-fridges, two-burner hobs, toasters, coffeemakers, and cookware, while apartment have larger fridges and microwaves. Dining tables are on the terraces. Also standard are air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi. Safes are available for a fee. Beige bathrooms have shower stalls or shower/tub combos, plus bidets, hairdryers, and basic toiletries.  

Amenities are brief here, with the property lacking a full restaurant and fitness center. The hotel's main feature is certainly it's large and fairly deep pool, which is lined by grass, loungers, and straw umbrellas. A separate kiddy pool is also located here. Unfortunately, some past guests have reported difficulty finding a sunbed. However, there are an adjacent terrace and rooftop solarium with more loungers and umbrellas.  A seasonal poolside bar serves snacks and drinks, and there's another bar indoors. An affordable buffet breakfast is available, though most travelers choose to cook in their room or dine outside the hotel. Wi-Fi is free, while parking requires a daily charge.
