Pros
- Great location 3 blocks from attraction-packed Passeig de Gracia
- Sleek, all-white rooms with high-tech amenities, free Wi-Fi, upscale bedding, and a furnished patio or balcony
- Innovative design and use of space, and white-on-white decor with mirrors everywhere
- Small but stylish rooftop pool with city views
- Solid (though expensive) restaurant with acclaimed chef
- Sauna, and in-room massages available
- Eco-friendly policies: solar panels and energy-efficient appliances
- Bathrooms are ultra-sleek and sexy, with flat-screen TVs, rainfall showers, and bidets
Cons
- Open bathrooms with glass doors lack privacy
- Outrageously expensive breakfast
- Minimalist decor may feel too cold for some
- Restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays
- No fitness center
Bottom Line
With unique design, white-on-white decor, mirrors galore, and a few stylish amenities such as the wonderful restaurant and the rooftop pool, this upscale property sets the bar for Barcelona chic. Sleek rooms are clean and feature all-white furnishings with a couple of beige accents, huge trendy murals, large flat-screen TVs, and comfortable beds. However, the open bathrooms with glass doors and the minimalist style are not for everyone.

Location
On a quiet street a few blocks from the hustle and bustle, and close to the subway
The Mirror Hotel is located on a fairly quiet street in the Eixample neighborhood, within walking distance to major attractions along Passeig de Gracia. For other tourist sites, the subway and the train are less than a 10-minute walk away.
Eixample is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Barcelona and certainly the most affluent in the downtown area, with some of the most stunning architecture you’ll find in the city center. It is characterized by its unique grid system, tree-lined streets, and Modernist architecture. La Pedrera, Casa Batllo, and even the jaw-dropping Sagrada Familia cathedral are all located here.
Passeig de Gracia is its main thoroughfare, with 19th century architecture, upscale boutiques, and wonderful restaurants. The side streets are equally splendid, but somewhat quieter. The area exudes history and elegance -- but you might find the long lines in front of the tourist attractions a bit annoying, and prices are definitely higher than in the rest of the city.
- 20-minute drive to El Prat International Airport
- 15-minute walk to La Pedrera and Casa Batllo, wonderful examples of unique Modernist architecture
- 25-minute walk or 10-minute subway ride to Placa Catalunya, the heart of the city
- 4-minute subway ride plus a 10-minute walk to the Picasso Museum
- 5-minute subway ride, plus a 12-minute steep walk uphill to Guell park, designed by acclaimed Catalan architect Antonio Gaudi
- 10-minute subway ride to Las Ramblas
- 10-minute subway ride plus 10-minute walk to Barceloneta Beach and the waterfront
- 11-minute subway ride to Sagrada Familia cathedral
- 13-minute subway ride to the Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA)
- 30-minute subway ride to Ciutadella park
