Other amenities include a large pool and an extensive entertainment program for all ages. As one of the most family-friendly properties in Benidorm, the Magic Aqua Rock Gardens is loud and busy. The entire hotel is designed to keep the little ones entertained and some guests complain that activities for adults are lacking, though there is an adult-only rooftop lounge with views.

The RH Princesa is a mid-range hotel located in Benidorm, a 10-minute walk from two sandy beaches. The focus here is on families for longer stays, with an all-inclusive option for guests spending at least seven nights, a medium-size pool with a slide and a whirlpool, and an extensive entertainment program. Spread out across two large buildings, the 794-room Sol Pelicanos Ocas is one of the three largest resorts in Benidorm and has the biggest pool of any of the hotel's in the city center. Each section has a buffet restaurant, a lobby bar, and a snack bar as well as hundreds of rooms. There are 794 room total. All units have similar amenities, including flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning and twin beds, but decor varies greatly. Safes are free in Superior and Family Rooms (which have extra beds), but there is a fee for Wi-Fi and for use of mini-fridges in all rooms. If the resort's five pools aren't enough for kids, there is also a wide array of activities and a playground complete with a trampoline.

Compared to most of its dated neighbors, the upper-middle-range Hotel RH Corona del Mar is far more modern and offers a higher quality experience. The hotel is a short distance from the promenade lined with ice cream shops, restaurants, bars, and an alluring stretch of Poniente Beach. Its 129 rooms have flat-screen TVs and private balconies, and many face the sea. The buffet breakfast costs extra, and the bar is devoid of style, but nightly entertainment and an outdoor pool with a waterslide and kiddy pool enhance the family-friendly atmosphere. There is no dedicated kids' club.

The 133-room RH Hotel Victoria is a mid-range property located in the center of Benidorm less than a 10-minute walk from Levante Beach. Dining is generally good and a decent buffet breakfast is included in room rates, or guests can opt for all-inclusive. The pool is small for this sort of hotel, but it has a whirlpool and a kids' section; kids also have a seasonal mini-club and playground. Overall, with its spacious 2014-renovated rooms and proximity to old town, RH Hotel Victoria is certainly one of the better three-pearl options around for both families and couples.

The mid-range Hotel Madeira Centro attracts vacationing families with its large rooms and solid list of amenities, as well as its location in the heart of Benidorm, just a four-minute walk from the beach. The 239 air-conditioned rooms here vary significantly in terms of configuration, and many are well-suited to families with children. While the marble bathrooms are a nice touch, rooms are otherwise staid, featuring lackluster furnishings that feel sub-par in comparison to the slightly higher quality amenities. Along with a couple of pools and a whirlpool, the hotel offers a fitness center, playground, massage room, and a great selection of restaurants and bars.

Melia Benidorm is a large, mid-range hotel with broad appeal. It has a big outdoor pool with waterfalls, a kiddy pool, and a sundeck. The kids' club has games and activities, as well as an outdoor space and playground under its thatched-roof pavilion. An additional game room has arcade games, a pool table, and air hockey. Melia Benidorm's 526 rooms are more contemporary than much of the competition, and upper floors glimpse the Mediterranean from their balconies.

The Servigroup chain is known for its lineup of family-friendly amenities, all of which are on offer at this large mid-range location near the beach, nightlife, and restaurants. The hotel's 366 rooms are simple and feature furnished balconies and free Wi-Fi. The freeform pool is large and appealing, with dozens of loungers, palm trees, a kiddy section, and seasonal family-friendly entertainment. The hotel lacks a kids' club, but has a playground. The restaurant gets good reviews for its varied buffet, especially the breakfast spread, which is included in all rates.

The 296-room Servigroup Calypso is a family-friendly, mid-range hotel located a short walk from the beach. Rooms are simple, and most are smallish, but all are clean and have LCD TVs, mini-fridges, free Wi-Fi, and furnished balconies.There's a separate shallow pool for kids, and a playground in a shaded area just off the main sundeck. Although the hotel is mostly popular among older couples, families are drawn to the hotel for its comfortable rooms, family and kids’ pools, location near the main strip and the beach, and competitive rates. (Plus, the typically older clientele means a quiet atmosphere, which families with young children might prefer.)

Servigroup Castilla is a mid-range hotel located in a quiet area near bars, restaurants, and the beach. Rooms are simple but clean and spacious, and have flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, free Wi-Fi, and furnished balconies. The pool gets shade for several hours every day, but is relaxing and offers plenty of loungers and umbrellas, as well as a kiddy pool and a playground. The restaurant offers a varied buffet and a gluten-free menu, and the bar has a few tables on the sundeck. With just 132 rooms, the Castilla is a small hotel by Benidorm standards. It draws older couples and families looking to spend some chill days in the sun rather than hit the bars every night, which makes for a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere than other mid-range hotels in the area.

The 283-room Hotel Helios Benidorm is a mid-range property in central Benidorm, a six-minute walk from the beach. The hotel's biggest draw is its fairly large outdoor pool that's surrounded by a spacious sundeck lined with comfy loungers and umbrellas. The pool is heated, and past guests report that lifeguards diligently allow everyone a turn at the loungers. In addition to the pool, the property caters to families with kid-friendly features such as an outdoor game room with air hockey, pool, and ping-pong, and a small playground for young children. There’s also family entertainment every evening, plus a buffet restaurant that serves all three meals.

Located in Benidorm, a package-style tourist destination on Spain’s Costa Blanca, Benilux Park Hotel is a six-minute walk from Playa Poniente, one of the town’s two beaches. This three-pearl, budget-friendly hotel is a multi-storied complex with 216 rooms spread over two wings. Most of the guest rooms here are clean and well-maintained, and there’s an outdoor swimming pool, as well as a children’s pool, playground, and daily kids’ activities. But the Benilux Park skimps on the extras: Basic room amenities such as mini-fridges, safes, and hairdryers come with extra fees, and a small deposit is required for air-conditioning.

Terralta Apartments is a mid-range family-friendly complex set in a residential neighborhood a bit away from Benidorm's lively center. The Old Town's bars and restaurants are just about within walking distance, though its an uphill trek on the way back. The 160 apartments all include open-plan living areas with kitchenettes, dining areas, and living rooms, plus furnished balconies. Though all-inclusive packages are available, past guests suggest buffet dining is best avoided, plus groceries are available on-site. Two pools cater to adults and children, and there's also a kids' club with playground. For a self-catering option away from Benidorm's bustle, this is a solid option.
