Prestige Hotel Goya Park

Prestige Goya Park’s lovely grounds are dotted with palm trees and lush greenery that are broken up by pools, paths, loungers, tables, and games like putt-putt golf. Overall, this little resort-type property has a relaxed atmosphere that suits the leisure tourists who come here for a dose of sunshine and beach time. Public spaces are modern and streamlined, with shiny floors, large abstract pieces, and funky, futuristic yellow and gray couches. The restaurant is quite large for this property, full of natural light thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows, and it has plenty of seating -- some of which might feel a bit tight in some areas. The bar is similarly large and has a game area, entertainment space, and gray contemporary chairs. The majority of guests are families, though plenty of couples stay here too.

The hotel is well situated in the coastal town of Roses, within a five-minute walk of the beach, shops, restaurants, and bars. The town center is about a 10-minute drive away. It’s a 20-minute walk to the Citadel of Roses and the Aquabrava waterpark (or about a five-minute drive). For those who want to do a day-trip to France, the border is less than an hour away. Other nearby attractions include the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres and Dali's House-Museum in Cadaques, both about a half-hour drive away. Girona-Costa Brava Airport takes an hour’s drive to reach. 

The room decor at Prestige Goya Park looks homey but dated, with gray speckled tiles, worn wooden furniture, white bedspreads, dated chairs, and blue floral curtains. Rooms could use an upgrade in modern amenities as well, as they're limited to tube TVs, balconies, and safes (for a fee). Wi-Fi costs a fee to use as well, and there's no coffee- and tea-making facilities or minibars. Bathrooms are modern with white marbled sinks and large mirrors, as well as shower/tub combos, bidets, and toiletries in wall dispensers. Note that some guests report bothersome noise due to thin walls.

This mid-range hotel caters mainly to families, offering them plenty of leisure amenities. There’s an outdoor pool that’s serviced by a pool bar, as well as a children’s pool. Surrounding the pool are grassy areas and outdoor games like putt-putt golf and air-hockey. Inside, the buffet-style restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus half-board and full-board plans are available. The large bar serves drinks and provides two pool tables, arcade games, and live entertainment throughout the year. There’s no gym nor meeting rooms, but the hotel has two public desktops that can be used for a fee. Wi-Fi is free in the lobby (but not in rooms), while on-site parking incurs a nightly charge.
