A mid-range time-share property, the 7 Mile Beach Resort and Club is set on lush grounds peppered with greenery such as palms, trees, and flowering bushes. Rooms are spread out over three-story white buildings with peach-colored trim and teal roofs, while check-in takes place at a pleasant reception area that doubles as a kitchen, with lots of books and tourism brochures, as well as loaner board games. There's not much else here in terms of indoor common spaces, but the pool area is a guest favorite and gathering spot for most. Loungers and tables and chairs surround the pool, and there are barbecue facilities that guests can use. Most guests are families attracted by the competitive rates and large multi-bedroom units with full kitchens.

The hotel is located on West Bay Road, a four-minute walk from the famous Seven Mile Beach, which has powdery white sand and crystal clear water plus an area with lounge chairs and umbrellas for hotel guests. There are several other hotels and resorts in the surrounding area, along with many fast-food options such as a Pizza Hut, Quiznos, and Wendy's. The Camana Bay area is about a 15-minute walk (or three-minute drive) away and is full of shops and restaurants -- there's also a movie theater, a supermarket, and a marina here. Other area attractions include the The National Gallery of the Cayman Islands (a two-minute drive or 14-minute walk), Stingray City (a four-minute drive), the Cayman Islands National Museum (a five-minute drive), the Cayman Turtle Centre: Island Wildlife Encounter (a 15-minute drive), and Dolphin Discovery Grand Cayman (also a15-minute drive). Owen Roberts Airport is around a 10-minute drive from the property.

The property offers spacious condos, all of which are two-bedroom, two-bathroom units that can sleep up to six people. Decor is dated in most, but the spaces are clean. Cream-colored tile floors and walls make for a light backdrop to bamboo-style furnishings, though the dated floral accents (think patterned bedspreads and sofa cushions) could use replacing. Framed beach scenes adorn the walls and potted plants in the living rooms add tropical touches. Some rooms have been renovated with attractive, contemporary decor. All units open onto large balconies overlooking the pool, all furnished with tables and chairs. Open-concept kitchens look out over the living and dining areas and are well-equipped with modern appliances. These include four-burner electric stoves, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, full fridges, ice makers, blenders, coffeemakers, and toasters, and cookware and dishes are provided. Washer/dryers also come standard. 

Standard amenities include DVD players, central air-conditioning, electronic safes, and free Wi-Fi. Rooms and living rooms have TVs, but some are of the older tube variety. Bathrooms have older fixtures and could do with an update, but they are kept clean. Master bedroom bathrooms have shower/tub combos with jetted tubs and frosted-glass sliding doors, while the guest bathrooms are smaller and have walk-in showers. Wall-mounted hairdryers are provided, but rooms don't offer much in terms of toiletries beyond bars of soap.

This hotel is geared toward vacationers who prefer to self-cater, with amenities to match. The real highlight here is the large outdoor pool, which features rock walls and two waterfalls, in addition to a kiddy pool and hot tub. The surrounding pool deck offer loungers, and tables and chairs under a small roof. The hotel also offers numerous activities throughout the week, including water Zumba, rum punch Mondays, outdoor movie screenings, and barbecues. There's no on-site restaurant, but there are a few barbecue grills for guests to use for free. A dive shop has a classroom for dive certification/classes, plus t-shirts and other souvenirs for sale. Other facilities include tennis courts and a business corner in the lobby that's equipped with a computer, printer, and photocopy machine. Guests can also borrow books and board games from the collection in the lobby. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property.
